Objective To summarize the treatment of cervical vertigo by professor Chen Hua-de,and highlight the advantages of acupuncture for clinical guidance.Methods The study is clinical experience summary.1.By referring to the relevant classical books and searching the literatures in recent 20 years,such as Wanfang digital journal full-text database,China academic journal full-text database(CNKI),the Chinese biomedical literature database(CBM),PUBMED,the understanding of cervical vertigo in modern medicine and traditional Chinese medicine are summarized.2.Through long-term clinical study of following teacher,the case is recorded in detail,and the medical records are collected,besides the change in the patients’ condition and treatment effect in time are follow up.It is combined with classic books and traditional Chinese medicine literatures to discuss and analyze the tutor’s understanding on cervical vertigo,clinical thinking and treatment methods,thus summarize the clinical experience of treating cervical vertigo with the method of invigorating qi and activating blood circulation.Results 1.On the basis of the pathogenesis with qi deficiensy and blood stasis in cervical vertigo as well as meridian theroy,qi deficiensy and blood stasis syndrom is in the majority clinically,and invigorating qi and activating blood circulation is the principle.In line with the tutor’s experience for many years,clinical effect is remarkable with the addition of the acupoints of governor meridian.2.According to the characteristics of acupoints,from the standpoint of dialectical,the acupoints of replenishing qi and blood,activating blood circulation and removing blood stasis should be the main;From the meridian,it selects the acupoints on the governor meridian,bladder meridian and gallbladder meridian;From the disease differentiation,it is considered that the disease is located in the head and neck,and the local points is taken as the main points;from the special point,experience points Hegu,Zusanli,Fengchi,cervical jiaji raise yang and invigorate qi,and Taichong as well as Sanyinjiao promote blood circulation and regulate qi.3.On the characteristics of acupuncture,light needling with multiple points was on the near-end,light and fast manipulation as the main point;The far end point is stronger,heavy and intermittent stimulation as the main point.4.In view of the obvious deficiency of qi and blood,the Baihui long-stay acupuncture method can strengthen the conduction of acupuncture sensation,stimulate the Baihui point and increase the blood flow of the head and neck,and then improve the blood circulation.For those with obvious blood stasis,the blood letting therapy at the ear tip can dispel the blood stasis and create new blood,and that replenish qi and raise yang.Thereby it plays the role of supplementing qi and activating blood circulation to stop dizziness.Conclusion 1.Acupuncture and moxibustion for treating cervical vertigo with the method of supplementing qi and activating blood circulation is a obvious treatment scheme.2.The tre atment of cervical vertigo by the method of supplementing qi and activating blood circulation by the tutor is based on the characteristics of acupoint selection,that focuses on four aspects of syndrome differentiation,meridian,disease identification and special acupoint selection,and attaches importance to regulate the mind in combination with binging about the desired sensation,which will provide more inspiration and diagnosis and treatment for future visit.3.The tutor,in the treatment of cervical vertigo,has used the multi-point light needling method,the far-channel point strong needling method,and highlighted the Baihui long-stay acupuncture method as well as tip of ear blood-letting therapy,which will provide more methods and guidance for the clinical practice in the future.
