| Objective To investigate the present situation of male nurses’ career success in secondary hospitals and above in Zhejiang Province,to analyze and discuss the influencing factors of general situation,and to pay attention to the influence of career choice motivation on career success,and to put forward some suggestions for clinical male nurses to obtain career success.It is suggested to provide theoretical basis for better management of male nurses by nursing administrators.Methods Stratified random sampling was used in secondary hospitals and above hospitals in Zhejiang Province.The male nurses who meet the inclusion criteria were selected as the research objects.The general information questionnaire,the career success scale and the career choice motivation scale were used to investigate the subjects who met the inclusion criteria,and the general data were analyzed.The influence of career choice motivation scale on career success of male nurses.In this study,230 questionnaires were sent out,220 were returned,217 valid questionnaires were obtained.The effective recovery rate was 94.3.The subjects of the study were male nurses in hospitals of grade Ⅱ and above in Zhejiang province.The SPSS22.0 system was applied.The data collected were analyzed by software,statistical description was used,Pearson correlation was tested by t test F among groups,the influencing factors of career success were analyzed by multivariate analysis method,and the related path of career success was analyzed by Amos22.0 software.Results 1.Male nurses in Zhejiang Province were in the middle level of occupational success,with the highest score of extraorganizational competitiveness,with a total score of(35.44±10.03),including(16.25±4.91)of job satisfaction,9.27±3.26 of intra-organizational competitiveness and(9.91±3.10)of extraorganizational competitiveness.2.The total score of career choice motivation was(124.64±25.03),the score of individual interest was(20.93±3.54),the score of pre-health care contact was(22.66±4.91),the score of academic performance was(14.25±3.63),the nature of work was(19.89±3.98),the prospect of work was(21.20±6.56),the social impact was(25.69±7.86).3.Career success of male nurses and general data on length of service,professional title,department distribution,monthly income,only child,There were statistically significant differences in six aspects of night shift(P<0.05).①.With the increase of length of service,the degree of job satisfaction decreases.②.With the rise of professional title,the sense of career success of male nurses increases.③.Male nurses in operating room and intensive care unit scored higher than other groups in career satisfaction dimension.④.Male nurses are only child with a higher career satisfaction score than two child.⑤.Job satisfaction increases with income.⑥.The less the number of night shifts,the better the job satisfaction.There was no significant difference between successful and male nurses in terms of age,hospital grade,different positions,educational background,establishment and other aspects(P>0.05).4.There was a positive correlation between career choice motivation and career success.5.The standardized path coefficient of career choice motivation to career success is 0.75.The model of career choice motivation and career success structure equation fits well.Conclusion 1.The career success of the male nurses participating in the investigation is in the middle level,the influence of seniority,job title,department distribution,monthly income,night shift situation factor,have a great lifting space.2.Male nurses’ career choice motivation is at the middle and upper level,each dimension of career choice motivation is positively correlated with each dimension of career success,and the standardized path coefficient of career choice motivation is 0.75,which has positive effect on career success.Increasing career choice motivation can improve male nurses’ level of professional success. |
