Clinical Efficacy Observation Of Compound Kushen Tincture In Treating Officers And Soldiers Of Tinea Pedis In The Southeast Coast

Objective:To determine the clinical efficacy of compound kushen tincture on the officers and soldiers with tinea pedis along the southeast coast.Methods:a)105 patients with tinea pedis were selected from officers and soldiers along the southeast coast,and randomly divided into three groups:compound kushen tincture group(n=35),compound pseudolaric tincture group(n=35)and compound resorcinol lotion group(n=35).b)All subjects were employed to each treatment for 4 weeks.Over this period,western clinical efficacy.The clinical efficacy of Traditional Chinese Medicine and microscopic examination were observed and recorded along with the observation of the adverse reaction.c)Observation Skin lesion was described to 4 levels before and after treatment,according to the doctor’s assessment and degree of the lesion area,erythema,scales,maceration,pruritus,etc.Microscopic examination results were also been recorded.d)Safety evaluation Recorded whether did patient feel burning,irritation or other discomfort,and whether did lesions have a sudden flush,blisters and other abnormal situations.e)Curative evaluation standard The evaluation to the curative efficacy classify into 4 levels:recover,effective,progressive and invalid.Microscopic examination results were estimated by 2 level:positive or negative.Results:a)compound kushen tincture(cure and markedly effective rate at 85.7%)is more effective than compound pseudolaric tincture(cure and markedly effective rate at 67.6%)and compound resorcinol lotion(cure and markedly effective rate at 61.8%)with a significant difference(P>0.05).As for vesicular scaly tinea pedis,compound kushen tincture get a higher cure and markedly effective rate is 93.8%while the cure and markedly effective rate of compound resorcinol lotion is 75%(P<0.01).As for hyper keratotic type tinea pedis and Stains erosive tinea pedis,compound kushen tincture gets a cure and markedly effective rate at 70.0%and 88.9%with non-significant difference(P>0.05)compared to compound pseudolaric tincture and compound resorcinol lotion.b)Comparison of the cured and markedly effective rate of three types of TCM syndrome On the side of damp syndrome of tinea pedis,the cured and markedly effective rate of compound kushen tincture is 81.5%,which is better than compound resorcinol lotion with a significant difference(P<0.05),while the cured and markedly effective rate of compound resorcinol lotion is 73.1%.In terms of the blood deficiency and wind dryness syndrome of tinea pedis,the cured and markedly effective rate of compound kushen tincture is 87.5%,non-significant difference exist(P>0.05)compared to compound pseudolaric tincture and compound resorcinol lotion.c)Comparison of the data before and after treatment have been made There is a significant difference among the tested groups on the clinical efficacy(P<0.05)while no significant difference exist in mycetology cure rate(P>0.05).d)Safety evaluation All groups showed no obvious side effects indicating that compound kushen tincture is safe,reliable and worthy further promotion.Conclusion:The compound kushen tincture is an efficient treatment to tinea pedis,which is prior to compound pseudolaric tincture and compound resorcinol lotion,with markedly effective rate,no obvious side effects and high safety.
