Changes And Protection Strategies Of Ancient And Famous Tree Resources In Beidaihe District

Ancient and famous trees are an important part of forest resources,which has the function of stable ecology,is a living specimen for studying climate change,and is a non-renewable precious resource.The unique ornamental effect of ancient trees,the combination of natural landscape and cultural landscape,has become a rare precious resource in a region.Beidaihe District of Qinhuangdao city is a famous coastal tourist city and a national forest city.There are three ecosystems in the district: forest,ocean and wetland,rich in ancient and famous trees.How to carry out scientific and effective management of ancient and famous trees in the process of rapid tourism development and urban construction is a problem facing coastal tourism cities.Therefore,analyzing the dynamic change of ancient and famous trees resources in Beidaihe District and carrying out scientific protection is of reference significance to the protection of ancient and famous trees in other cities in our country.This thesis takes the ancient and famous trees resources in Beidaihe District as the research object,and summarizes the protection measures of ancient and famous trees in this area through comparative analysis of the investigation results and the causes of resource changes,so as to provide reference suggestions for the protection and development of ancient and famous trees in the whole district.The main findings are as follows:(1)There are 9851 ancient and famous trees in Beidaihe District,858 single ancient trees and 93 ancient tree groups,which belong to 26 families,46 genera and57 species.The number of different tree species is different,the distribution of tree species is not uniform,mainly growing in Dongshan street and Xishan street;The largest number is Pinus tabulaeformis,Magnolia biondii,Koelreuteria paniculata,and other tree species are less.All the old and famous trees in Beidaihe belong to the state.The single old and famous trees were mainly concentrated in 100～299a,with a total of 841 trees.Only 1 mulberry tree had a poor growing environment,and 11 ancient trees had a medium growing environment.There were 11 plants with weak growth.(2)The resources of ancient and famous trees growing within Beidaihe area have changed in the past ten years,and a new fire spine with normal growth was found in Jinshan Mouth of the Central Military Commission.Most of the 12 old and famous trees that died grew in sanatoriums of units at all levels and the military,and the trees were about 100 years old.(3)The main causes of the death of ancient and famous trees in Beidaihe District are water accumulation,deep soil burial,excessive hardening of surface decoration,diseases and pests,lightning strikes,broken branches,hollow tree body,insufficient soil fertility,soil compaction and old trees’ own senescence.In this regard,the protection strategies such as strengthening publicity,establishing information system of old and famous trees,giving priority to rescue the old and famous trees with poor growth when funds are insufficient,and carrying out scientific conservation and rejuvenation are put forward.The results of the investigation are of great significance to the protection and development of ancient and famous trees in Beidaihe area and other coastal tourist cities.
