Research On The Development Of Family Pasture In Traditional Pastoral Areas

Since the No.1 Central Document in 2015 clearly proposed to improve the basic rural management system,Inner Mongolia has vigorously developed various forms of moderate-scale family farms,and has continuously adjusted and optimized the structure of animal husbandry.The development of family farms is of great significance to enhance market competitiveness and improve agricultural production efficiency.As one of the most typical traditional pastoral areas in Inner Mongolia,grassland animal husbandry is not only a pillar industry in this area,but also a characteristic industry.In order to promote the high-quality development of grassland animal husbandry,East Ujimqin Banner has vigorously developed family pastures since 2019.The development of family ranch is not only conducive to improving the intensive,professional,socialized level and output efficiency of animal husbandry,but also conducive to cultivating and strengthening the professional herders,and more conducive to the modernization of grassland animal husbandry.This paper takes the traditional pastoral area-East Ujimqin Banner as an example,through literature research and field investigation to obtain first-hand information,from the three aspects of family pasture identification standards,development status and distribution,this paper analyzes the development situation of family pasture in East Ujimqin Banner,and analyzes that the family pasture in this area is dominated by cattle.Secondly,taking the cattle-based family ranch as a case,the cost-benefit of family ranch is analyzed by using the input-output theory.Through the comparative analysis of the cost-benefit of different breeds of cattle,it is known that the benefit of raising Simmental cattle is higher than that of local Mongolian cattle and Angus cattle.At the same time,it reveals that there are some problems in the development of family ranch in East Ujimqin Banner,such as inadequate supervision and management,insufficient training for family ranch operators,shortage of funds,low level of modernization and high feeding cost.Finally,based on the actual situation,this paper puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions to ensure the sustainable development of family ranch,such as strengthening supervision,enhancing management ability,increasing support,improving modernization level and reducing production cost.
