Non-heading Chinese cabbage(Brassica campestris ssp.chinensis Makino)is native to my country and is an important leafy vegetable crop.Because of its wide adaptability, low production cost, good taste, and rich nutrition,it is favored by people and is an important part of the vegetable market in China.Non-heading Chinese cabbage is suitable for cold weather during the growth process, and the suitable temperature for growth is 18-20℃.High temperature will be unfavorable to the growth of Non-heading Chinese cabbage, and the quality is extremely poor. Therefore,it is particularly important to explore appropriate cultivation conditions and methods according to the natural environmental conditions of different sowing periods,so as to promote the growth and development of Non-heading Chinese cabbage and improve its yield and quality. The production of Non-heading Chinese cabbage is mostly cultivated by direct seeding, but its seed particles are small, and there are practical production problems such as large seeding rate, low seedling rate, and poor seedling quality. Therefore, the pretreatment of seeds before sowing is particularly critical. After coating and pelletizing the seeds of Non-heading Chinese cabbage, the seedling emergence rate of the Non-heading Chinese cabbage has been greatly improved, the yield and quality were increased.1.Using Non-heading Chinese cabbage Heitacai and’Huangmeigui’as materials, set five sowing periods respectively, which are September 10th,September 15th,September 20th,September 25th and September 30th.The seeds of Heitacai are pelletized, and the seeds of’Huangmeigui’are coated and pelletized. The effects of seed treatments and sowing periods and on the seedling emergence rate and seedling growth indexes of Non-heading Chinese cabbage were studied. The results showed that at the same seed treatment, the seedling rate of the Heitacai and’Huangmeigui’sown on September 25th was higher,at the same sowing period, the seedling rate of pelletized seeds was higher. After 20 days of each sowing date, the seedling growth indexes of the two kinds of Non-heading Chinese cabbage showed that the growth indexes of the Non-heading Chinese cabbage sown on September 10th were higher than those of the other four sowing dates, such as plant height and weight per plant. At five sowing periods, the growth indexes of seedlings of the two Non-heading Chinese cabbage seedlings treated with pelletized were higher than those of other treatments, which prevented the seedlings from lengthening to a certain extent and made the seedlings become stronger.2.Different seed treatments and sowing dates have significant effects on the yield and quality of Non-heading Chinese cabbage. For Heitacai and’Huangmeigui’,the growth index of the Non-heading Chinese cabbage sown on September 10th was significantly higher than other sowing dates, and the yield was the highest, and the yield was5669.50kg/667m~2 and 5102.55kg/667m~2in pelletizing treatment at the same period, respectively. The contents of soluble sugar, protein, vitamin C and other quality indexes in the pelletized Heitacai sown on September 25th and the pelletized’Huangmeigui’sown on September 20th were significantly higher than those in the other treatments, while the cellulose content was significantly decreased.Compared with other sowing dates, the contents of photosynthetic pigments of Heitacai and’Huangmeigui’sown on September20th and 25th showed a better comprehensive performance, but seed treatments had no significant effect on them. While combining economic benefits, yield and quality, the best sowing date for Heitacai is September 25th,and the best sowing date for’Huangmeigui’is September 20th,and both of them have the best performance under pelletizing treatment.
