This experiment was conducted to study the effects of resveratrol on the performance, immune organ indices, serum biochemical indices, antioxidant indicators, jejunal mucosal inflammation factors and cecum flora of Cherry Valley ducks.A total of 480 1-day-old Cherry Valley ducks were randomly divided into 4 groups with6 replicates per group and 20 ducks per replicate.Ducks in the control group(group A)were fed a basal diet, and others in experimental groups(groups B,C,and D)were fed basal diets supplemented with 200,400,600 mg/kg of resveratrol respectively. The trial period was 42 days. The experiment was divided into two periods,0-21 days for the first period,22-42 days for the second period. The statistical analysis results show that:The addition of resveratrol to the diet has a significant impact on the performance of the first period of cherry valley ducks, the average daily gain(ADG)was significantly improved(P<0.01),and the feed to gain ratio was significantly reduced(P<0.01),the ADFI was significantly reduced(P<0.05),and had no significant effect on the second period performance.Adding resveratrol to the basal diet can improve the immune organ indices of Cherry Valley ducks, adding 400mg/kg resveratrol to the basal diet can significantly reduce the content of D-lactic acid,i FABP and urea nitrogen in serum(P<0.05),significantly increase serum globulin content(P<0.05).Adding 400mg/kg resveratrol to the basal diet could increase the activities of antioxidant enzymes CAT,T-SOD,GSH-Px and T-AOC in the serum, liver and jejunum mucosa of Cherry Valley ducks(P<0.05).Adding 400 mg/kg of resveratrol to the basal diet could significantly inhibit the content of IL-22,TGF-β and IL-6 in jejunum mucosa of Cherry Valley ducks(P<0.05),and significantly promote the content of IL-10,s Ig A and Ig M jejunum mucosa of Cherry Valley ducks(P<0.05),relieve ducks’ inflammation. The addition of resveratrol to the basal diet had no significant effect on the effective sequence of cecum flora of the Cherry Valley ducks,Chao1,ACE,Shannnon and Simpson indices, and the relative abundance of Firmicutes and Bacteroides(P>0.05).Adding resveratrol to the basal diet could significantly increase the relative abundance of Rumenococcus-1 in cecum flora of Cherry Valley Duck(P<0.05),significantly reduce the relative abundance of subdoligranulum(P<0.05),optimize Intestinal flora structure. In summary, resveratrol has the effects of promoting growth, improving antioxidant and anti-inflammatory capabilities, and optimizing the structure of intestinal flora of Cherry Valley ducks. The addition of resveratrol improves the daily gain, daily feed intake and feed-weight ratio of Cherry Valley ducks, promotes the development of immune organs, increase the level of immunoglobulin and antioxidant enzyme activity, and reduces inflammatory factors content.
