| Green development of forestry is an inherent requirement for the construction of ecological civilization, and green total factor productivity of forestry is an important indicator to measure whether forestry has achieved green economic growth. In the context of ecological civilization construction, improving forestry green total factor productivity is conducive to solving the dilemma of tightening the demand for forestry economic growth and resource and environmental constraints, and it is of great practical significance to find out the influencing factors and ways to improve forestry green total factor productivity for the sustainable development of forestry. This paper takes the southern collective forest area as the research object.Firstly, the concept of green total factor productivity in forestry and productivity-related theories are explained, and the existing research results are summarized and reviewed;secondly, the current situation of forestry development in the southern collective forest area is analyzed from the aspects of collective forest area profile and forestry production factor utilization;on this basis, the super-efficient DEA-SBM model considering non-expected output and the ML productivity index are applied to measure the productivity of forestry.Based on this, the green total factor productivity of forestry in the 10 provinces of the southern collective forest area from 2005 to 2020 is measured using the super-efficiency SBM model and ML productivity index, and the measured efficiency values are analyzed in terms of time trends, spatial differences, and Malmquist index dynamics;finally, the panel Tobit model is used to analyze the forestry industry structure, economic development level, financial support for forestry, forestry Finally,a panel Tobit model was used to analyze the effects of forestry industry structure, economic development level, financial support for forestry, forestry disasters, foreign investment in forestry, environmental and climatic factors, and environmental regulations on the green total factor productivity of forestry in southern collective forest areas. The results show that:(1)the green total factor productivity of the southern collective forestry region shows a slow growth trend in fluctuation during 2005-2020,and the fluctuation of green total factor productivity of the forestry industry from 2005 to 2011 is mainly influenced by pure technical efficiency, while the change trend of green total factor productivity, pure technical efficiency and scale efficiency of the forestry industry from 2012 to 2020 tends to be consistent.(2)There are obvious regional differences in forestry green total factor productivity in southern collective forest areas, with Guizhou,Guangdong and Zhejiang provinces having higher mean values of forestry green total factor productivity and Guangxi having the lowest mean value. From the dynamic analysis of Malmquist index, the total factor productivity index maintains a stable growth with an average annual growth rate of9.38%,in which technological progress is the main driver of forestry green total factor productivity growth in the southern collective forestry region.(3)According to the regression results of Tobit model, the level of economic development, financial support for forestry, the level of environmental regulation and foreign investment in forestry have a significant positive relationship with forestry green total factor productivity, while forestry industry structure and natural disasters have a significant negative relationship with forestry green total factor productivity.Based on the findings of the previous study, the following policy recommendations are proposed to build a pattern of green and high-quality forestry development: attach importance to the enhancement of human capital in forestry and break through the bottleneck of green technology progress;increase financial support for forestry and improve the financial system of green forestry development;adjust the structure of forestry industry and promote the coordinated development of forestry;increase the strength of environmental regulation and formulate appropriate environmental regulation policies. |
