In the context of the comprehensive promotion of agricultural and modernization in China,agricultural technology promotion plays a crucial role in accelerating the transformation of agricultural science and technology achievements and promoting the development of agricultural modernization.Along with the development of science and technology in China and the common application of 5G technology and new media,the current agricultural promotion patterns are divided into new agricultural technology promotion mainly on line and traditional agricultural technology promotion mainly off line.Currently,walnut green production technology promotion is applied in both new agricultural technology promotion and traditional agricultural technology promotion.Green walnut production technology promotion is an extension activity that uses various ways to disseminate walnut green production technology,in the form of display,demonstration and lecture,to walnut farmers to make them adopt the corresponding technology.Based on the research data of 629 walnut farmers in Wensu County,Aksu Region,this study was conducted to explore the direct,indirect,and distributional effects of walnut green production technology promotion on farmers’ technology adoption by using the propensity matching score method,and put forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions for the research results.Green production technologies of walnut in this study refer to green pest prevention and control technologies,water-saving irrigation technologies,and soil testing and formulation technologies.It was found that the direct effect of green walnut production technology diffusion would improve the technology adoption level of farmers to a certain extent and have some indirect effects in the process of technology diffusion.(1)Compared with farmers who did not participate in the promotion of green walnut production technology(no adopters in the same village),the new green walnut production technology promotion method significantly increased the adoption level of green pest control technology,water-saving irrigation technology and soil formula fertilization technology;(2)For farmers who did not adopt the green walnut production technology promotion method(adopters in the same village),the adoption level of water-saving irrigation technology was significantly increased.(2)The adoption level of water-saving irrigation technology significantly increased for farmers who did not adopt the green production technology promotion method for walnut(the same village had no adopters),but the adoption level of green pest control technology and soil formula fertilizer application technology did not change significantly;(3)The analysis of farmers’ age and farmland size showed that compared with farmers who did not adopt the green production technology promotion method for walnut(the same village had no adopters),the green production technology promotion for walnut had a significant positive effect on the adoption of technology for middle-aged and large-scale farmers,and no significant effect on the adoption of technology for middle-aged and elderly farmers and small-scale farmers.There was no significant effect on technology adoption among middle-aged,elderly and small-scale farmers.In response to the above findings,this study proposes,first,to expand the publicity of new information and technologies.From the results of the study,it can be seen that the promotion of green production technology of walnut has a significant direct effect on the adoption of technology by farmers.Second,establish demonstration bases for technology promotion such as demonstration villages and science and technology courtyards.Through the establishment of demonstration villages and science and technology courtyards,the indirect effect of technology promotion can be brought into full play.Thirdly,we promote green walnut production technology by "teaching according to the material".Through the distribution effect of green production technology promotion of walnut,we can see that the effect of technology promotion is very different for different people.Fourth,accelerating the construction of rural infrastructure to promote different forms of technology promotion.By accelerating the construction of rural infrastructure,such as the construction of rural network facilities,technical extension is not only limited to offline,but also provides remote guidance to remote areas in the form of live broadcast or information push.Fifth,accelerate land transfer to reduce the degree of arable land fragmentation.The scale of arable land has a significant positive impact on the promotion of green production technology of walnut,and large-scale farmers are more receptive to the promotion of green production technology of walnut.Sixth,build a technical extension system centered on rural communities and new agricultural management organizations.The agricultural extension system should not only be a top-to-bottom one-word extension system or a top-to-bottom tower extension system,but also a honeycomb extension system spreading out from the bottom.
