| Organic fertilizers and fertilizers are the "food" of crops, containing essential nutrients.Crop roots have no tendency or selectivity to absorb nutrient ions from different sources but with the same form. The application status of organic fertilizers and fertilizers is equal.Due to long-term excessive and shallow application of fertilizers, efficiency is relatively low, resulting in environmental and soil problems such as soil compaction, acidification, and eutrophication of water bodies. From a micro perspective of planting, the combination of excessive fertilizer and unreasonable cropping systems, such as repeated cropping, poses certain challenges to sustainable crop production and quality improvement.Based on the comprehensive judgment of actual production, ecological cycle, and economy, organic fertilizer substitution is the best way to reduce fertilizer application. This article is based on the theory of farmers’ behavior, the theory of agricultural technology induced innovation, and the theory of technology acceptance, analyzing the influencing factors of the contradiction between farmers’ organic fertilizer application behavior and substitution behavior.Taking 343 agricultural production units in Anhui Province as the research object, the Tobit model was used to analyze the influencing factors of various explanatory variables on the proportion of organic fertilizer to total fertilization.Further, the binary probit model was used to empirically analyze the influencing factors of the deviation, and 299 farmers who applied organic fertilizer in 343 samples were used to analyze the deviation of organic fertilizer replacing chemical fertilizer. The research conclusion is: 1.The higher the awareness level of organic fertilizer acquisition, the higher the proportion of organic fertilizer application by farmers in the total fertilizer.Distributors’ door-to-door delivery of fertilizers provides convenience for farmers to fertilize, while the convenience of purchasing organic fertilizers promotes the emergence of farmers’ purchasing and application behavior.2.The higher the awareness of the importance and social impact of green production, the higher the proportion of organic fertilizer application by farmers; The higher the degree to which farmers perceive organic fertilizer substitution as meaningful, the lower the corresponding degree of deviation.3.Farmers’ experience in composting and the construction of high standard farmland around them have significantly promoted the increase in the proportion of organic fertilizer application;4.In terms of the deviation of organic fertilizer substitution behavior, the experience of composting and the surrounding high standard farmland will significantly reduce the deviation, and the application of organic fertilizer will reduce the use of chemical fertilizers; The probability of deviation is high for farmers who expand their business scale.5.The perception of the long-term effectiveness of organic fertilizers and the technical usefulness of improving crop cultivation environments is negatively correlated with substitution behavior;Persistent awareness of organic fertilizers among farmers will promote fertilizer input, while improving the cultivation environment will stimulate farmers to invest in organic fertilizers and reduce fertilizer application.Based on the research findings, policy recommendations have been proposed to address the increasing proportion of organic fertilizer substitution among farmers and reduce the deviation of substitution behavior. The main recommendations include: 1.Strengthening the promotion and technical training of organic fertilizer substitution;2.Enhance support for organic fertilizer transportation capacity;3.Explore ways to accelerate the efficiency of organic fertilizers;4.Train large-scale households on fertilization behavior and promote their rational fertilization;5.Improve the method of returning straw to the field. |
