Research On The Adoption Behavior And Effect Of Integrated Technology Of Water And Fertilizer For Apple Growers

In the process of apple planting in China,there are problems such as excessive application of fertilizer and low efficiency of fertilizer utilization,resulting in non-point source pollution of fertilizer and restricting the green and low-carbon development of apple planting industry.Relying on irrigation and fertilization equipment,the integrated technology of water and fertilizer can reduce the amount of fertilizer application,reduce the non-point source pollution of fertilizer,improve the quality of farmland ecological environment,and at the same time increase the apple yield and improve the internal quality of apple.Farmers are the main body of the adoption decision and implementation of the integrated technology of water and fertilizer.It is of great significance to study the adoption behavior and effect of the integrated technology of water and fertilizer of apple growers.Based on the theory of farmers’ behavior and the decision-making theory of technology adoption,this paper uses the field survey data of 568 apple growers in Shandong Province to summarize the production and operation characteristics of apple growers,the cognitive characteristics of water and fertilizer integration technology and the status quo of technology adoption behavior.First of all,build a theoretical analysis framework of the adoption behavior of integrated technology of water and fertilizer of apple growers based on capital endowment,technology perception and economic incentives,and use the Logistic model to empirically analyze the key internal and external factors that affect the adoption behavior of integrated technology of water and fertilizer of apple growers.Secondly,construct the theoretical analysis framework of the income increase effect and the fertilizer reduction effect of farmers’ adoption of water and fertilizer integration technology,use the propensity score matching method to empirically evaluate the impact of water and fertilizer integration technology on their agricultural income and fertilizer application amount,and test the group differences of the impact effect under different farmers’ age,education level,and apple planting scale.Finally,some suggestions are put forward to promote the adoption of integrated technology of water and fertilizer by apple growers.Through the above research,the following conclusions are drawn:(1)The capital endowment of apple growers,such as the planting area of fruit trees,the degree of plot concentration,whether to participate in fertilization technology training,the annual income level of families,social network,and social norms,has a significant impact on their adoption behavior of water and fertilizer integration technology;Apple growers’ cognition of the technical and economic effects of water and fertilizer integration and the ease of operation have a significant impact on their technology adoption behavior;In economic incentives,government subsidy incentives have a significant impact on the adoption behavior of apple growers’ water and fertilizer integration technology.(2)The integrated technology of water and fertilizer has obvious income increase effect and fertilizer reduction effect.Under the counterfactual framework,after the adoption of the integrated technology of water and fertilizer,the income per mu of apple increased by 587.07 yuan,with an increase rate of 11.38%,and the fertilizer application per mu decreased by151.40 jin,with a decrease of 28.65%.In addition,through the empirical test of the difference of the effect of the integrated technology of water,fertilizer,water and fertilizer on apple growers with different endowment characteristics,the analysis found that after the adoption of the integrated technology of water,fertilizer,water and fertilizer,the income increase effect and fertilizer reduction effect of apple growers aged 55 and below,with education level of junior high school and above,and with planting scale of more than 6 mu were significantly higher than those of other types of growers.(3)In order to encourage apple growers to adopt the integrated technology of water and fertilizer,it is necessary to strengthen the accumulation of capital endowment of apple growers,improve the cognitive level of the integrated technology of water and fertilizer of apple growers,build a subsidy mechanism for the integrated technology of water and fertilizer,improve the market price mechanism of high quality and good price,and build a differentiated promotion model of integrated technology of water and fertilizer.
