| Herbaceous peony(Paeonia lactiflora Pall.)is a perennial herb that belongs to the family Paeoniaceae.Production for ornamental use is usually propagated by division, but the division of seedlings and then planted back in situ prone to back to planting obstacles, increasing the cost of land for herbaceous peony production, limiting the promotion and use of good varieties of herbaceous peony. In this experiment,’Junzhongjun’ was selected as the compound microbial agent, and the three-year-old herbaceous peony ’Zifengyu’ was planted into the ordinary garden soil(not previously planted with herbaceous peony)and replanted soil(previously planted with herbaceous peony: soil with sieved residual broken roots and soil without sieved residual broken roots). All herbaceous peony plants were treated once each on May 25,July 22,October 27,2021 and March 15,2022 with a compound microbial agent to determine the physicochemical properties, enzyme activities, changes in microbial community numbers, physiology and growth and development of herbaceous peony roots in the rhizosphere soil of ’Zifengyu’ under different soil conditions. The study showed that:1.The compound microbial agent can promote the growth and development of herbaceous peony. The plant height, stem diameter, flowering rate and root-shoot ratio of herbaceous peony were increased after treatment with compound microbial agent, and the effect of promoting the growth and development of herbaceous peony in the ordinary garden soil was better than that in other two soils, and the root-shoot ratio of herbaceous peony in the non-sieved-root soil increased the most.2.The compound microbial agent can improve the root activity and antioxidant enzyme activity of herbaceous peony. The root activity of herbaceous peony was enhanced by the treatment with the compound microbial agent, and the strongest promotion effect was observed in the root system of herbaceous peony planted in the sieve-root soil.SOD and POD activities increased in the root system of herbaceous peony planted in the ordinary garden soil,CAT activity increased and MDA content decreased in the root system of herbaceous peony planted in the sieved-root soil, and SOD and CAT activities increased in the non-sieved-root soil.3.The compound microbial agent can regulate soil nutrients and change the microbial community structure in rhizosphere soil. After treatment with compound microbial agent, the activities of phosphatase in the ordinary garden soil, dehydrogenase in the sieved-root soil and invertase and urease in the non-sieved-root soil were enhanced. The contents of organic matter and available potassium in the rhizosphere soil of herbaceous peony were increased under different soil conditions, and the promotion effect of organic matter and nutrients in the sieved-root soil was significantly better than that in the ordinary garden soil and the non-sieved-root soil. The number of bacteria, fungi and actinomycetes in the ordinary garden soil and non-sieved-root soil decreased, while thenumber of bacteria and fungi in the sieved-root soil increased and the number of actinomycetes decreased. The compound microbial agent is low cost, has a promotion effect on the growth and development of herbaceous peony, and can change the microbial community structure in the rhizosphere soil.In the process of production, the residual broken roots in the soil can be sieved and combined with the application of compound microbial agent to further alleviate the barriers of replanting. The concentration and frequency of compound microbial agent application need to be further optimized at a later stage, and the beneficial and harmful microbial communities and species in the rhizosphere soil need to be studied in depth, thus providing a reference basis for low-cost soil improvement, promoting the growth and development of herbaceous peony, and solving the problem of return planting obstacles. |
