| Feed raw material supply is one of the main factors affecting the livestock industry’s healthy development,China’s feed for pigs and poultry and grass-fed livestock concentrate supplements are mainly corn-soybean meal type, corn is the main energy feed raw material. In 2022,China imported 20.62 million t of corn,of which nearly 80% is used to develop feed for the breeding industry. The development and use of existing feed raw material resources, increase the amount of corn raw material substitution,is an effective measure to alleviate the import of raw materials dependence. Therefore,China urgently needs to build a new feed formula suitable for national conditions, adjust and optimize the feed formula structure, reduce the amount of corn in livestock and poultry feed according to the availability of alternative raw materials and market prices of corn alternative raw materials to choose,to achieve the concept of efficiency and cost reduction. In recent years,China has been carrying out rice storage in order to ensure food security and stabilize rice prices. And in 2021 began to dehusk storage rice that has been stored for a long time to produce storage brown rice, which is mainly used in the feed and farming industries. However, because storage brown rice is rich in rice bran oil and stored for a long time,it is prone to oxidation and rancidity, and this problem can be well solved by using the role of bile acid in promoting the digestion and absorption of oil and resisting oxidative damage of the body. The purpose of this experiment was to investigate the effects of storage japonica brown rice on growth performance, blood biochemical indexes, meat quality and intestinal flora for growing-finishing Min pigs by reducing the amount of corn and supplementing with bile acids.Twenty-four pigs of similar weight were randomly divided into three treatment groups with eight replicates of one pig each. The control group was fed the basal diet(50% corn),the storage brown rice group(25% corn + 25% storage brown rice),and the storage brown rice + bile acid group(25% corn + 25% storage brown rice + 0.025% bile acid). The trial period was 150 d,slaughter and sampling was performed at the end of the trial. The test results showed that:(1)Compared with the control group, there was no significant influence(P > 0.05)on the average daily weight gain and average daily feed intake of the SJBR and SJBR + BA groups, and the feed-to-weight ratio was significantly lower(P < 0.05).(2)The serum biochemical indexes of the pigs were detected, and there was no significant difference(P > 0.05)among the groups in ALT,AST,ALP,ALB,UA,TCHO,TG and LDL-C;compared with the CON,the TP content was significantly higher(P < 0.05)and BUN content was significantly lower(P < 0.05)of the SJBR and SJBR + BA;HDL-C was significantly higher in the SJBR + BA.(3)There were no significant differences in carcass weight, carcass length,pH45 min,pH24 h,drip loss, cooking loss, and shear force among the groups(P > 0.05);eye muscle area was significantly increased in the SJBR compared with the CON(P < 0.05);compared with the SJBR,the backfat thickness was significantly decreased in the SJBR+BA(P < 0.05),and the m RNA expression of My HC-Ⅰgene in the longest dorsal muscle was significantly higher(P < 0.05).(4)By 16 S rDNA technique to detect microorganisms in the cecum of Min pigs. The percentage of Lactobacillus_crispatus was significantly higher in the SJBR at the genus level compared with the CON.In this experiment, the addition of 25% storage japonica brown rice can improve the growth performance and the abundance of intestinal beneficial bacteria of the Min pigs, and the addition of bile acid can reduce the backfat thickness and promote the meat quality of the Min pigs.In conclusion, storage japonica brown rice can be used as a feed resource for growing-finishing Min pigs for further development. In conclusion, the addition of 25% storage japonica brown rice to the feed of growing-finishing Min pigs may have some positive effects on the growth performance, meat quality and intestinal health of Min pigs;the addition of 0.025% bile acid to 25% storage japonica brown rice feed can significantly reduce backfat thickness and improve meat quality. |
