| Global warming has become a huge ecological environment problem faced by human beings.Forest ecosystem has great potential of carbon sink and plays a great role in promoting the realization of the strategic goal of "Carbon Emission Peak and Carbon Neutrality".In our country,the area of plantation is large its carbon fixation ability has become the focus of ecology.In order to accurately estimate the carbon sink benefit of Chinese fir plantation in Hubei province and explore the contribution of Chinese fir plantation in China’s carbon sink,this study took Chinese fir plantation in Hubei Province as the research object,adopted sampling survey technique,established standard plots of Chinese fir plantation in 28 districts and counties of 10 cities in Hubei Province,and constructed individual trees and stand biomass models of Chinese fir plantation in Hubei Province.The carbon stocks of the forest plants were obtained according to the carbon coefficients of different components of the plants in the stand,and the accuracy test method was used to test the constructed model.Combined with the data of "Forest Resource Planning and Design Survey(Forest Management Inventory)",the carbon stocks and distribution of the plants in the fir plantation in Hubei Province were studied,and the following main research results were obtained.(1)The biomass of trunk,branches and leaves,roots of Chinese fir in Hubei Province was 61.26%-70.52%,8.34%-19.01%and 18.36%-18.66%,respectively.The order of biomass size of all organs in young forest was trunk>branches>leaves>roots,while that in other stands was trunk>roots>branches and leaves.With the increase of the age of Chinese fir,the proportion of trunk biomass increased with the change of the age of Chinese fir,and the proportion of tree branches and leaves biomass decreased with the increase of the age of Chinese fir,while the proportion of tree roots biomass had no significant change with the increase of the age of Chinese fir.(2)The biomass per hectare of Chinese fir plantation in Hubei Province was ranked as Southwest Hubei>Southeast Hubei>Northwest Hubei.According to age composition,the Chinese fir plantation in Southeast Hubei was mainly composed of half-mature and young forests,while the Chinese fir plantation in Southwest and Northwest Hubei was mainly composed of half-mature and nearly mature forests.The total biomass of Chinese fir plantation in Hubei province was 4.38×107t,which was mainly distributed in En shi City in Southwest Hubei Province,with the highest biomass(1.75×107t),accounting for 39.95%,followed by Xianning City in Southeast Hubei Province(0.83×107t),accounting for 18.95%,and Shiyan City in Northwest Hubei Province(0.71×107t),accounting for 16.21%.The total biomass of Enshi,Xianning and Shiyan accounted for 75.11%of the total biomass of Chinese fir plantation in the province.In Hubei Province,Chinese fir plantation is mainly cultivated in Southeast Hubei,Southwest Hubei and Northwest Hubei,and also partly distributed in the border of Hubei and Anhui as well as central Hubei.(3)The characteristics of the biomass of undergrowth vegetation and litter per hectare in different age groups were as follows:over mature forest>mature forest>near mature forest>half mature forest>young forest;Undergrowth shrub biomass of different age groups did not change significantly,and undergrowth shrub biomass was significantly correlated with stand density,shrub cover,average stand height,average DBH and plant number density(stepwise regression R2=0.4443,model test accuracy P=84.10%).Herbaceous biomass was related to herbaceous cover,average DBH of stand,plant number density and age(stepwise regression R2=0.4380,model test accuracy P=88.06%),and litter biomass was related to stand canopy density,average tree height and age(stepwise regression R2=0.2298,model test accuracy P=89.64%).The biomass of undergrowth vegetation and litter of Chinese fir plantation in Hubei province was 6.96×106t,in which litter(6.05×106t)>shrub(0.788×106t)>herb(0.122×106t).(4)The carbon storage per hectare of Chinese fir plantation in Hubei Province was 47.6t/hm2,which was above the medium level in China and slightly lower than that in the central production areas of Chinese fir.The total carbon reserve of Chinese fir plantation in Hubei province was 2.07×107t,and the area of young and half mature forest was large(27.54×104hm2),which had high growth potential and carbon sequestration potential.The carbon storage of short period high density culture accounted for 34.30%(0.71×107t).(5)The distribution of total carbon storage of Chinese fir plantation in Hubei Province was consistent with that of biomass,which was mainly concentrated in the southeast,southwest and northwest of Hubei Province.Enshi City in southwest Hubei Province had the highest carbon storage,followed by Xianning city in southeast Hubei Province and Shiyan City in northwest Hubei Province.This study provides a reliable method for accurately estimating the biomass and carbon storage of Chinese fir plantation,provides a scientific basis for model construction and dynamic monitoring of carbon sink capacity of Chinese fir plantation in Hubei province,provides basic data for the operation and management of Chinese fir plantation in Hubei Province,and objectively reflects the carbon storage of Chinese fir plantation in Hubei Province and its contribution to the national"Carbon Emission Peak and Carbon Neutrality" target.It is of great significance to realize the"Carbon Emission Peak and Carbon Neutrality" strategic goal smoothly. |
