| In order to understand the genetic variation of free pollinated Korean pine lines,growth measurements were carried out on free pollinated Korean pine lines in Hegang,Linkou and Reed River,and photosynthetic characteristics,physiological indicators and needle and leaf characteristics were measured on some lines in Hegang.A preliminary selection of good lines was made by single point analysis of variance,analysis of variance and estimation of breeding values for each site.The stability of common lines between the Hegang and Linkou sites was analysed to select the more stable lines.Through the analysis of the variation pattern of Korean pine family lines and the preliminary selection of good family lines,the basis for the next step of genetic improvement of Korean pine was laid.The main findings of the study are as follows:(1)Analysis of genetic variation in growth traits: all 36 free pollinated Korean pine lines at the Hegang site had varying degrees of variation in growth traits,and all growth traits differed significantly among lines,with significant effects of lineage and reciprocal effects on growth traits of all lines,TL1271,HG31,HG50,HG30,WH162 and WH008,with the mean population value of the superior lines being 12.01% higher than the CK mean.There were different degrees of variation in growth traits among the 47 freely pollinated Korean pine lines at the Lam Hau site,with significant differences in each growth trait among the lines and significant effects of lineage on each line,LK25,HG17,HG3 and HG8.The mean population value of the good lines was 12.31% higher than the mean value of CK.The 117 free pollinated Korean pine lines at the Reed River site showed varying degrees of variation in chest diameter traits at different stand ages,with all lines showing highly significant differences in chest diameter.Based on their performance at 34 a,11 good lines were selected at a 10% entry rate,namely 034,025,174,077,178,144,099,065,019,156 and 087,with a population mean value 8.46% higher than the CK mean.(2)Stability analysis: The 11 Korean pine free-pollinated lines shared between the Linkou and Hegang sites showed different degrees of stability,with TL1383 and TL1271 being evaluated as good for 8a-growth TL1383 and TL1383 for 9a-growth TL1383,and TL1383 for 10a-growth TL1383.Of the 36 free pollinated Korean pine lines at the Hegang site,9 lines,including HG51,WH008 and TL1271,were evaluated as very good or good,15 lines,including TL1383,LK19 and HG29,were evaluated as very good or good among the 47 free pollinated Korean pine lines at the Linkou site,and 8 lines,including 034,019 and 065,were evaluated as good among the117 free pollinated Korean pine lines at the Reed River site.The eight lines with good overall evaluation were 034,019,065 and so on.(3)Analysis of variation and correlation of photosynthetic and physiological traits: The 15 treatments at the Hegang site showed varying degrees of variation in photosynthetic characteristics,physiological indicators,needle and leaf characteristics and growth traits,with all indicators except needle width significantly different from one another and all indicators correlated to varying degrees.The correlation between tree height,ground diameter and annual growth and transpiration rate was highly significant,with a correlation coefficient of 0.361 between 10a tree height and transpiration rate;a highly significant positive correlation between tree height and total chlorophyll content,with a correlation coefficient of 0.424 between 10 a tree height and total chlorophyll content;a significant negative correlation between tree height and ground diameter,needle leaf width and needle fresh weight,with a correlation coefficient of0.275 between 10 a tree height and needle leaf width and a correlation coefficient of 0.107 between 10a tree height and needle fresh weight.The correlation coefficient was 0.107. |
