Foot-and-mouth disease(FMD)is a febrile,acute,highly contagious contact disease caused by the foot-and-mouth disease virus that is common to even-hoofed animals such as pigs,cattle and sheep.China currently carries out prevention and control mainly through vaccination of susceptible animals against FMD.However,the quality of FMD market vaccines(vaccines procured by farmers)and government vaccines(vaccines procured by the government)in China varies,so it was decided to screen out FMD vaccines with better quality and better immunization effect,so as to provide the FMD vaccine market with It is also important for the prevention and control of FMD and the construction of epidemic-free areas.In this study,four different manufacturers were randomly selected,and one FMD market vaccine and one FMD government vaccine were purchased from each manufacturer,and the eight FMD vaccines purchased were divided into market vaccine and government vaccine groups.The quality indicators such as endotoxin,total protein,viscosity,146 S and purity were tested.We also performed antibody potency tests for O and A types in immunized animals using liquid phase blocking ELISA tests in stages after immunization of test animals.The results showed that the endotoxin contents of the selected FMD market vaccines and the government vaccines were less than 0.5 EU/head,which were in accordance with the national standard(≤50 EU/head).The total protein content of the market vaccine ranged from 44.43 to 64.81 μg/m L,and that of the government vaccine ranged from 82.72 to 133.68μg/m L,which were in accordance with the national standard(≤500 μg/m L),but the government vaccine was significantly higher than the market vaccine.The viscosity values of the market vaccine ranged from 17.61 to 29.42 c P,while those of the government vaccine ranged from 22.35 to 42.08 c P,which was higher for the government vaccine.The 146 S content of the market vaccine ranged from 12.54 to 35.84 μg/head portion,and the political vaccine ranged from 1.46 to 9.03 μg/head portion,with the market vaccine being much higher than the political vaccine.The gel electrophoresis images of the purity test showed that the heteroprotein bands were very dense in the government vaccine of B and D manufacturers,and the heteroprotein bands were less in the market vaccine.The potency of O antibodies produced by the market vaccines of manufacturers A,B,C and D were 1:570.4,1:780.8,1:292.5 and 1:116.8 at 28 d,and 1:564.8,1:2259,1:63.25 and 1:72 at 91 d.The potency of O antibodies produced by the market vaccines of manufacturer B was the highest at 49 d.The potency of type A antibodies produced at 28 d was 1:162,1:678.4,1:78.75,116.8,and at 91 d was 1:327.4,1:1656,1:68,and 1:83.4,respectively,of which the potency of type A antibodies produced at 70 d was 1:6480.The potency of O-antibodies produced by the test animals were 1:52.3,1:37.28,1:101.1,1:125.4 at 28 d and 1:18.4,1:61.66,1:46.2,1:38.4 at 91 d.The potency of O-antibodies produced by the test animals were 1:18.4,1:61.66,1:46.2,1:38.4 at 21 d.The potency of O-antibodies produced by the vaccine of manufacturer D was the highest.The potency of type O antibodies produced by manufacturer D at 21 d reached the highest value of 1:125.4;the potency of type A antibodies produced at28 d was 1:8.55,1:45,1:168,1:137.7,and the potency of type A antibodies produced at 91 d was 1:8.45,1:94.94,1:55.89,1:88.84,respectively,of which the potency of type A antibodies produced by manufacturer C at 21 d reached the highest value of 1:137.7.The results showed that the physicochemical indexes and immunization effect of FMD market vaccine were significantly better than those of the government vaccine,and both the market vaccine and the government vaccine of manufacturer B obtained better immunization effect.
