Epidemiological Investigation And Control Of Porcine Transmissible Gastroenteritis In Shulan City

Porcine transmissible gastroenteritis(TGE)is a highly contagious and fatal intestinal pathogenic disease.If it is not treated in time,it may cause large-scale death of piglets and affect the feeding cost of finishing pigs.TGE is one of the most important diseases that endanger the development of pig breeding industry in Shulan.This study carried out the epidemiological investigation and analysis of TGE in Shulan City,discussed the epidemic distribution characteristics of TGE in this City,and summarized and put forward effective treatment methods and preventive measures through the treatment trial of traditional Chinese medicine and chemical medicine,which was of great significance to promote the healthy development of pig industry in Shulan City and even the whole province.From October 2020 to October 2021,2410 serum samples were randomly collected from large-scale farms,bulk farmers and slaughterhouses in 17 townships(streets)in Shulan City,and TGE serological investigation was carried out by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).The results showed that the average positive rate of TGE in Shulan City was 8.51%.Among them,the average positive rate of large-scale farms was 7.98%,the average positive rate of bulk farmers was 9.08%,and the positive rate of slaughterhouses was 6.67%.Through the comparative analysis of TGE prevalence in different areas,different sizes and different categories in Shulan City,there are significant differences between eastern and western regions,but there was no significant difference between large-scale farms and bulk farmers and no significant difference in the prevalence of sows,finishing pigs and piglets.The samples with positive TGE serological antibodies were tested by molecular biology of TGEV.For the samples with For the samples with positive TGE serological antibodies,further molecular biological tests of TGEV showed that 83.41% of the positive samples of TGEV serological tests in Shulan City were positive for nucleic acids.On the basis of epidemiological investigation,four different treatment schemes were used to treat the diseased pigs,which were chemical medicine group,traditional Chinese medicine group,integrated traditional Chinese and chemical medicine group and control group.Through the comparative analysis of the therapeutic effects of four different schemes,it was found that the therapeutic effect of combination of traditional Chinese and chemical medicine was significantly higher than that of other treatment methods,and Chinese herbal medicine could be used as a candidate for the treatment of TGE.
