| Soybean(Glycine Max)is one of the five major cultivated crops in the world and is also used as an excellent annual forage crop.The production performance and ecological habits of the same soybean variety vary greatly in different regions.Therefore,introduction without scientific study may lead to a series of problems,such as low yield and poor quality.To determine the optimal variety for a certain area,it is necessary to conduct variety adaptability research.Wulanchabu area of Inner Mongolia is located in the center of the junction area of Mongolia,Shanxi,and Hebei provinces,with a representative climate and geographical location.It is suitable for soybean production,belonging to the typical high-quality green soybean zone in China.However,the soybean industry occupied a small proportion and the crop varieties are not abundant in this area with a relatively low yield,the soybean yield per unit area has a lot of room for improvement.Determining the suitable soybean varieties for human consumption,oil extraction,and forage production in Wulanchabu area through introduction experiments has a significant meaning in improving the soybean yield per unit area,increasing the economic income of the local soybean industry,expanding the area of soybean cultivation and promoting the high-quality soybean varieties.This study used 81 soybean varieties from the domestic and foreign areas as the research object.The experiment plots were designed as randomized blocks with three replications.The growth period was investigated,and the yield and quality-related indexes were determined,including plant height,bottom pod height,node number of the main stem,effective branch number,effective pod number per plant,grain number per plant,grain weight per plant,hundred-grain weight,crude protein,and crude fat content.The production performance of different soybean varieties was compared through correlation analysis,cluster analysis,and fuzzy mathematics membership function method,and the optimal soybean varieties for animal feeding and human consumption with strong adaptability and high yield and quality in Wulanchabu area were determined.The main results were listed as follows:1.There were significant differences in the growth period of 81 tested soybean varieties.Six soybean varieties mengdou 33,Sudou 13,Sudou 22,Suxian 380,Peking,and Han Dou 5.The other 75 soybean varieties were suitable for Wulanchabu area ecological environment and grew well.2.The plant height of 81 soybean varieties were sorted,and the first 35 varieties were selected for cluster analysis of plant height,effective branch number and growth period,the optimal soybean varieties for animal feeding were S001,S002,S003,and 3-2-1Zonghei,and the optimal varieties for forage crop breeding as cross parent were Peking,Sudou 13,Kefeng 14 and Jidou 17.3.Based on the cluster analysis of the apparent morphological indexes,yield-related indexes,and nutritional quality of 43 high-yield soybean varieties,5 optimal varieties were selected for soybean cultivation in Wulanchabu area,including kefeng 14,Jidou 17,Zhongpin 661,Zhongpin 95-5383 and Zhonghuang 35.Tiefeng 33 and Chidou 3 were sub-optimal varieties in this area.4.The comprehensive evaluation of 43 high-yield soybean varieties was conducted by the fuzzy mathematics membership function method,and the results showed that Kefeng14 had the highest rank with the strongest adaptability in Wulanchabu area.In addition,the top 5 varieties in the comprehensive ranking include Jidou 17,Zhongpin 661,Zhonghuang35 and Tiefeng 33.They were all well adapted to the Wulanqabu area.The bottom 5varieties in the comprehensive rank list were Longken 302,Mengdou 9,Henong 72,Jiyu308 and Mengdou 45,which were not suitable for cultivation in Wulanchabu area. |
