| The Erdos Feldspathic Sandstone Region in Inner Mongolia is plagued by a fragile environment, barren ground, arid climate with a lack of water, and terrible conditions for the survival of plants. The ecological restoration of vegetation can successfully prevent soil erosion and safeguard the region’s ecological health. This paper examines the 0cm flat stubble pattern,10 cm flat stubble pattern,15 cm flat stubble pattern,20 cm flat stubble pattern, and uneven stubble pattern to address the serious degradation of the Hippohgae rhamnoides forest in the declining stage in the Feldspathic sandstone area of Ordos. The morphological indexes and root growth characteristics of Hippohgae rhamnoides were continuously observed in 0cm flat stubble,10 cm flat stubble,15 cm flat stubble,20 cm flat stubble and uneven stubble(CK)patterns, and the physiological characteristics of Hippohgae rhamnoides were measured and comprehensively analyzed using a GFS-3000 portable photosynthetic fluorescence meter.Hippohgae rhamnoides woodland in the Feldspathic sandstone region in order to create a theoretical foundation for scientific management and to accomplish scientific ecological restoration. The study’s findings demonstrated that.(1)The aboveground indexes of Hippohgae rhamnoides are as follows: Due to the flat stubble treatment, plant height and crown width were temporarily lower than those of the control Hippohgae rhamnoides;however, the length and basal diameter of new branches were significantly greater than those of the control Hippohgae rhamnoides(P<0.05);the Hippohgae rhamnoides underwent supercompensation growth, with plant height compensation indices of 1.51 for 0 cm flat crop,The biomass compensation index for 0cm flat crop was 1.80,for 10 cm flat crop it was 1.82,for 15 cm flat crop it was 1.86,and for20 cm flat crop it was 1.66.(2)The root length density of fine roots of Hippohgae rhamnoides increased by 3.98 percent,7.21 percent,8.39 percent, and 2.11 percent in the 0cm,10 cm,15cm,and 20 cm flat stubble patterns, respectively,as compared to the unstubble pattern. The root growth of each diameter class was greatest in August. The root length density of coarse roots increased by 2.72 percent,7.48 percent,8.03 percent, and 1.48 percent relative to the unstaked model;the root length density of skeletal roots increased by 3.42 percent,3.4percent,4.54 percent, and 1.29 percent relative to the unstaked model.Fine(58.83percent)> coarse(37.39 percent)> skeletal(3.79 percent)was the total root length distribution of Hippohgae rhamnoides at each diameter level in varied flat cropping patterns. The 15 cm flat stubble pattern had the greatest total root length(479.68 cm),followed by 10 cm(433.37 cm),0 cm(418.28 cm),and 20 cm(369.56 cm)flat stubble patterns, while the unstubble pattern(264.5 cm)was substantially shorter than(P<0.05).(3)The stem-to-leaf ratio and root-to-crown ratio of Hippohgae rhamnoides grew significantly(P < 0.05),and biomass increased significantly(P < 0.05),promoting the regeneration of Hippohgae rhamnoides.(4)Stomatal conductance, net photosynthetic rate, transpiration rate, and water usage efficiency of Hippohgae rhamnoides rose significantly(P<0.05)in response to the flat crop treatment, however the stomatal limitation value of Hippohgae rhamnoides declined. The 15 cm flat stubble pattern had the highest daily average net photosynthetic ratefor Hippohgae rhamnoides, followed by the 10 cm flat stubble pattern and the 20 cm flat stubble pattern.August > July > September > June > May,and stomatal limitation values were September > August > August > May.In summary, the flat stubble treatment promoted the regeneration of Hippohgae rhamnoides. After analyzing the subordinate functions of the characteristics of Hippohgae rhamnoides in different flat stubble patterns, the comprehensive evaluation results showed that Hippohgae rhamnoides in 15 cm flat stubble pattern had the strongest regeneration ability and the best growth and development. |
