White-skinned cucumbers are recognized by the market as a characteristic cucumber variety because of their white skin,white flesh and firm and crispy characteristics.In this experiment,8 high-generation inbred lines of white-skinned cucumber were used as the parents,and 28 hybrid combinations were configured according to the complete dial hybrid II.By investigating the performance of various characters of the parents and combinations,and analyzing the genetic parameters such as combining ability and heterosis,aiming to understand the genetic and phenotypic characteristics of each parent,we screened out excellent hybrid combinations with commercial potential.The conclusions are as follows:(1)Genetic variation of major traits.Except for melon coarseness and soluble sugar,traits such as melon length and melon number per plant were significantly different;the coefficient of genetic variation of female flower node rate,melon stalk length,soluble protein content and melon number per plant were higher than those of the same period last year: 57.18 %,27.14%,28.45% and 38.63%.(2)Analysis of parental combining ability.The parents 10 had higher combining ability in traits such as early maturity,yield increase potential,and other yields;while the hybrid combinations 01×10,10×15 and 10×17 had higher special combining abilities in terms of growth potential and yield.,and the overall performance was excellent.(3)Analysis of genetic variance of traits.In this experiment,the GCA% of the white-skinned cucumber material,the melon length,the melon handle length,the seed cavity width,the melon shape index and the number of melons per plant in the early stage,were above 80%,and the general combining ability was dominant,which was suitable for conventional hybrid breeding;The special combining ability(SCA%)variance of interval length,soluble protein content and yield per plant was more than 80%,the special combining ability was dominant,and it was suitable for dominant breeding.(4)Trait heritability analysis.In the heritability of the four traits of plant height,soluble protein,yield per plant and total yield,the dominant effect was absolutely dominant,indicating that the dominant effect played a leading role,and it was suitable for selection in the late breeding stage;female flower node rate,melon length,firmness and The narrow-sense heritability of 9 traits,including the number of melons per plant,was absolutely dominant,that is,the additive effect was dominant,which was suitable for early selection.(5)Correlation analysis of traits.There were significant positive correlations among the five yield traits of white-skinned cucumber,and were significantly correlated with the first female flower node position,female flower node rate and plant traits of plant height;while the dry matter content of white-skinned cucumber was significantly correlated with firmness,soluble solids Equal content was significantly correlated.(6)Analysis of heterosis.The use of heterosis can effectively improve the plant viability,melon shape and yield of white-skinned cucumber.For example,the combination of 10×15 achieved positive superparent vigor in leaf area,early yield per plant and yield,which were 23.58% and 38.15% and 96.61%,the negative superparent advantage of seed cavity width was-50.00%.
