FIP is a FIPV mutated from FCo V which is a serious immune-mediated disease of feline animals.The main symptoms include pleural effusion and abdominal effusion,and there is no effective vaccine for immune protection,and the clinical treatment is mainly chemical drugs,However,these drugs have some disadvantages such as high price,large side effects,painful injection and easy to appear ulceration at the injection site.Therefore,it is imperative to develop a low-cost drug with low toxicity and small side effects to treat the disease.Chinese herbal medicine has a long history、low price、low residue and other characteristics,and the application of Chinese herbal medicine in the treatment of FIP has a good development prospect.In view of this,the main research of this study is as follows to seek for a Chinese herbal compound preparation with better treatment effect.1.Diagnosis of feline infectious peritonitisAccording to clinical symptoms combined with physiological and biochemical indicators,the incidence of male cats was confirmed to be higher than that of female cats by fluorescence quantitative PCR detection.Serum amyloid protein(SAA)& GT in all affected cats;40mg/m L;Albumin to globulin ratio(A:G)<0.4;PCR results were all positive.2.Formulation of single Chinese medicine for feline infectious peritonitisThrough a large number of literature review,8 Chinese herbal medicines with significant therapeutic effect on corona virus were selected.Each Chinese herbal medicine was made into water extract with three concentrations of 0.1g/ m L,0.15g/m L and 0.2g/ m L.The affected cats collected in Experiment 1 were used as test animals for the test.SAA physiological and biochemical indexes were detected by blood samples collected four weeks after treatment.Peritoneal effusion was collected for fluorescence quantitative PCR detection and the data and indicators at the time of diagnosis were compared to observe the therapeutic effect of 8 traditional Chinese medicines on the disease.Six Chinese medicines with obvious therapeutic effects were selected as the main medicine in the three compound preparations in the experiment.Six Chinese herbs were screened out.3.Observation on curative effect of Chinese herbal compound preparation on feline infectious peritonitisThirty-six cats with similar age and body weight were randomly divided into 6groups.Compound 1,2 and 3 groups,chemical drug group,challenge group,blank group were used for in vivo treatment.The changes of clinical symptoms,body weight,physiological and biochemical indexes were measured by fluorescence quantitative PCR to establish an evaluation system.The results showed that the negative rate of fluorescence quantitative PCR in compound 1 group was 40%,which was higher than compound 2 group(0%)and compound 3 group(20%).The relative weight gain rate was 60.38%,which was significantly different from that of the challenge group and the blank control group(P< 0.01).There were no abnormal indexes of liver and kidney function in the three groups of TCM group,indicating that chemotherapeutic drugs may have an effect on the renal function of cats.
