Magnesium is one of the essential nutrients for plants.The application of magnesium fertilizer can improve crop yield and improve the quality of agricultural products.At present,recent years,the using of nitrogen fertilizer,phosphorus fertilizer and potassium fertilizer is greatly increased;the supplement of some nutrients in the soil is ignored,such as magnesium and calcium,in addition,the application of organic fertilizer is gradually reduced.This results that the crops show more and more of magnesium deficiency phenomenon.Therefore,this study conducted a field comparative experiment in Cheguyingzi Village,Hutai Town,Xinmin City,Liaoning Province,and Babao Town and Shuncun Village,Kaiyuan City,Liaoning Province in May-October 2020.A total of six treatments were set:farmer habit treatment,farmer habit+Mg spraying 1 treatment(farmer habit+Spraying 5 kg/hm~2 Mg O),farmer habit+Mg spraying 2 treatment(farmer habit+Spraying 10 kg/hm~2 Mg O),optimized fertilization treatment,optimized fertilization Mg spraying 1 treatment(optimized fertilization+Spraying5 kg/hm~2 Mg O),optimized fertilization+Mg spraying 2 treatment(optimized fertilization+Spraying 10 kg/hm~2 Mg O).The effects of different magnesium fertilizer application rates on rice yield,quality and nutrient content of soil and stem and leaf grains at different stages of rice were mainly explored to obtain reasonable fertilization scheme,which provided theoretical basis and practical guidance for scientific application of magnesium fertilizer in rice areas of Liaoning Province.The results are as follows:1.Nutrient contents in soils changed under different treatments.In Xinmin and Kaiyuan experiments,the contents of available nitrogen and available phosphorus in soils treated by farmers habits and farmers habits with magnesium were significantly higher than those treated by optimized fertilization and optimized fertilization with magnesium.The content of available potassium in soil was significantly lower than that of optimized fertilization and magnesium addition.2.Spraying magnesium fertilizer on rice leaves changed the nutrient content of rice stems and leaves.In the experiments at Xinmin and Kaiyuan,the nitrogen content and phosphorus content in stems and leaves of rice treated with optimized fertilization+Mg spraying 1 and optimized fertilization+Mg spraying 2 were significantly higher than those treated with optimized fertilization.The potassium content and calcium content in stems and leaves of rice treated with optimized fertilization+Mg spraying 1 and optimized fertilization+Mg spraying2 decreased compared with those of optimized fertilization,and the decrease of potassium content was small when magnesium fertilizer was sprayed on leaves.The calcium content in the two fertilization conditions of foliar spraying magnesium fertilizer,were significantly reduced.3.After spraying magnesium fertilizer on rice leaves,the nutrient content and quality of rice grains changed.When magnesium fertilizer was sprayed on the leaves,the nitrogen content and phosphorus content in grains were increased,while the calcium content was decreased.In the experiments in Xinmin and Kaiyuan,the Pcontent in rice grain under the treatment of optimized fertilization+Mg spraying 2 was significantly higher than that under the treatment of optimized fertilization,which increased by 63.7%and 47.6%,respectively.In Kaiyuan experiment,the nitrogen content in rice grain of optimized fertilization+Mg spraying 1treatment was significantly increased by 27.6%compared with the optimized fertilization treatment.In Xinmin experiment,compared with farmers habits,the calcium content of rice grain in farmers’habits+Mg spraying 2 treatment decreased by 26.1%.4.After spraying magnesium fertilizer on the leaves,the yield,biomass and quality of rice changed.In the case of foliar spraying magnesium fertilizer,the yield and grain protein content of rice were significantly increased,while the plant height,effective tillering,grain weight per spike,1000-grain weight and grain starch content of rice were increased.In the Xinmin experiment,the rice yield of the optimized fertilization+Mg spraying 1 treatment was 821.3kg/mu,which was significantly higher than that of the optimized fertilization treatment,with an increase of 17.8%.In Kaiyuan experiment,the rice yield of optimized fertilization+Mg spraying 2 treatment was 835.8 kg/mu,which was significantly higher than that of optimized fertilization,and increased by 21.6%.At the same time,the protein content of rice grain in optimized fertilization+spraying 2 treatment increased by 16.6%compared with optimized fertilization treatment.
