Study On Popularization Of Guijing Sweet Potato No.8 In Beihai City Guangxi

Agricultural extension system is an effective way to transform agricultural scientific and technological achievements into real productive forces and an important carrier to implement the strategy of developing agriculture through science and education in China.Guijing Sweet potato No.8 is a new edible sweet potato variety selected and bred by cross breeding method with the goal of improving the quality,taste and yield of sweet potato.It was approved by Guangxi Crop Variety Certification Committee in 2016.Guijing Sweet Potato No.8 has excellent cooked food taste,sweet taste,powder,sweet,and wide adaptability.It is an ideal edible purple potato variety,suitable for planting in guangxi.In order to increase the promotion area of Guijing Sweet Potato No.8 and provide reference for relevant government departments to formulate promotion measures of sweet potato variety,this paper takes the farmers who choose to plant Guijing Sweet Potato No.8 as the research object,and explores the influencing factors of adopting Guijing Sweet Potato No.8 by visiting,investigating and carrying out field questionnaire survey.In this paper,528 sweet potato growers from Beihai City,Guangxi Province were selected as samples for analysis.Firstly,21 possible factors affecting the adoption behavior of Guijing Sweet Potato No.8were extracted based on the study of domestic and foreign literatures and basic theories.At the same time,according to the data obtained in the survey as the basis,the Logistic regression model was used to make a quantitative analysis of the factors affecting the adoption of Guijing Sweet Potato No.8 by farmers,and put forward countermeasures and suggestions.The main conclusions are as follows:Firstly,through the correlation analysis between various variables and whether farmers adopt Guijing Sweet Potato No.8,it is found that five variables,namely education level,government technical services,sweet potato production cost,family income and seedling source,are the factors that significantly affect farmers’ adoption of new sweet potato varieties in Beihai city.Second,through the regression analysis of the survey data of farmers’ adoption of Guijing Sweet Potato No.8,the significant impact of farmers’ education level,government technical services,sweet potato production cost,family income and seedling source on farmers’ adoption of new varieties was verified.It was found that the order of influence degree was seedling source > government technical service > sweet potato production cost > family income > education level.Finally,according to the results of regression analysis in the empirical research part,this paper analyzes the behaviors of farmers affecting the adoption of Guijing Sweet Potato No.8,and puts forward some suggestions for the promotion of new sweet potato varieties based on the development status of Beihai city.
