An Empirical Study On The Impact Of Aquatic Product Export On Fishery Economic Growth In Fujian Province

In the existing literature,there are many articles on the effects of trade on economic growth,and most of them are conducted from a national perspective,while there are few literatures on the effects of aquatic product exports on the economic growth of fisheries.Fujian Province is my country’s largest aquatic product production and trade province.As of 2020,Fujian Province’s total aquatic product export value has ranked first in the country for eight consecutive years,accounting for about 27% of the country’s total.It is the growth pole of my country’s aquatic product exports and it is also Fujian An important part of the economic growth of the province’s fisheries,but there are few literatures that take Fujian Province as an example to study.Based on this,this article will take Fujian Province as the research object to explore the influence of Fujian aquatic products on its economic growth.This article contains four main parts.The first part first briefly describes the research background,significance,research content and use methods of this article,and explains the data sources of the article.Secondly,define the concepts involved in this article,detail the concepts of aquatic products,aquatic economy and fishery economy,sort out and summarize the relevant research results of domestic and foreign trade and economic development,and clarify the research direction of this article.The second part analyzes the development status of the fishery economy in Fujian from the perspectives of the overall production status,annual output value,and status of the fishery economy.From the perspectives of the overall output value of aquatic products,the overall status of exports,the main export regions/markets,and the main types of exports,etc.Analyze the status quo of the export of aquatic products in Fujian Province.The third part measures and analyzes the elasticity coefficient of aquatic product export to fishery growth and the fishery economy’s dependence on aquatic product export.The OLS and ECM models are used to carry out long-term analysis on the relationship between aquatic product exports and the fishery economy in Fujian Province.Short-term analysis.Finally,it analyzes the problems existing in the export trade of aquatic products in Fujian Province,and puts forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions.Research conclusions:(1)The overall fishery output value of Fujian Province has increased,but the growth rate has slowed down significantly,and its importance in the national economy has decreased;Fujian Province’s aquatic products are mainly marine products,and their output value has shown a continuous growth trend;it is worth noting However,the province ’ s aquatic product export trade is highly dependent on the international market.The United States,Japan,the European Union,South Korea and other countries are the main areas for Fujian’s aquatic product exports,and their aquatic product export trade volume is increasing year by year.(2)In the long-term analysis,the multiple regression model is used to gradually regress,indicating that the positive promotion of Fujian’s aquatic product export trade to the development of Fujian’s fishery economy is stable in the long-term,that is,every increase of 1 unit of Fujian’s aquatic product export trade,Fujian’s fishery economic growth will rise by 0.68 units.Fishery industry investment and employees also have a positive role in promoting the development of Fujian’s fishery economy,but the impact of fishery consumption is not obvious.The short-term relationship analysis uses an error regression model,and the results show that Fujian’s aquatic product export trade and its lag period have a positive impact on Fujian’s fishery economy.Specifically,the short-term upward fluctuation of Fujian’s aquatic product export trade increases by 1% every time.,Fujian’s fishery economy increased by 0.241%.(3)The main problems in the export trade of aquatic products in Fujian include insufficient industry development supervision,lack of well-known international brands,scattered operations,and difficulty in forming a strong industrial chain.The corresponding solutions mainly include unified supervision of aquaculture,Introduce professional talents,cultivate international brands,increase capital investment,and form industrialization development.
