Now we have entered the era of in-depth development of media integration. The publishing and other industries have carried out rich practices in their own fields. The simple addition of original content and technology has gradually been upgraded to effective integration of content and technology, and the development of deep integration has become a visible future for the publishing industry.None of the publishing companies can develop beyond a specific network to complete the whole process of innovation alone.Based on this reality, this study analyzes the cooperation relationship between publishing enterprises and builds an innovation network for publishing enterprises from the perspective of collaborative innovation, combined with innovation theory, resource dependency theory, and transaction cost theory.By sorting out the relevant theoretical foundations and summarizing the current industry experience, the constituents of the publishing innovation network are summarized as the actors in the network, the relationship chain in the network, and the resources in the network. The participating actors include publishing enterprises as the core innovation actors, government departments and industry organizations that provide policy and industry support, universities and technology providers that provide technical support, service organizations that provide innovation in production and distribution, and target users that use the products.Meanwhile, this study summarizes the characteristics of the innovation network of publishing enterprises as openness and dynamism, and the functions of the network as value co-creation,risk sharing and collaborative innovation. In order to verify the authenticity of the above model, this study takes the innovation practice of educational publishing enterprises as an example and validates the model through case studies,in-depth interviews and questionnaires.Firstly, the case study is used to sort out the richness of existing cooperative relationships among enterprises;secondly, the in-depth interview is used to understand the current users' experience of using the products, and then the feasibility of the network modeled by publishing enterprises is verified;finally, the questionnaire is used to analyze the specific situation of users' use of the products, and the model is verified from the perspective of network components. It is found that there is a foundation and innovative space for the enterprises to build the network. At the same time, this study also provides development suggestions for publishing enterprises to build innovation networks based on industry characteristics and current practices: first,to strengthen the cooperation and innovation of industry, academia and research in the publishing industry;second,to improve the operation mechanism of innovation networks of publishing enterprises;third,to optimize the cultivation of innovative publishing talents;fourth,to build a dynamic management mechanism of innovation networks in the publishing industry;and fifth,to enhance the connection between publishing enterprises and target users.
