Image fusion of infrared and visible light is an important research content in the field of fusion,and it has a wide range of applications in military,medicine,and target recognition.How to better enhance the target in the infrared image,preserve the details in the visible light image and adapt to the perception of the human eye has become the main direction of fusion research.Therefore,this paper proposes a new algorithm based on differential gradient based on the above problems and realizes the development of embedded platform.First,the background and significance of this research topic,domestic and foreign fusion algorithms,current research status of hardware platform and the work done in this paper are explained.After that,the composition of the embedded fusion system is introduced,including the front-end optical detection module,the middle-end image processing module and the final VGA display module.Then it introduces the research of FLANN-based feature point matching and homography matrix registration.Explain some common fusion algorithms:Laplacian pyramid fusion algorithm,wavelet transform,infrared feature extraction,and infrared and visible light fusion methods based on salient features.On this basis,a new fusion algorithm is proposed in this paper.The algorithm uses a gradient algorithm to obtain the edge information of the important information in the infrared image,obtains the difference information between the infrared and the visible image through multiple differences,and finally obtains the target contour information enhancement Fusion result.Secondly,this paper designs an image fusion simulation platform based on the QT GUI interface.Through this simulation platform,the algorithm proposed in this paper is subjected to subjective analysis and objective comparison with 8 common algorithms.The simulation results show that the infrared target enhancement effect is obvious in the fusion result of the algorithm,retains more visible light details and is more suitable for long-term observation by the human eye.Finally,an arm-Linux image processing development platform based on the DE1-Soc development board was built,as well as the design of each module and the analysis of experimental results.Through this platform,a number of experiments have been carried out to verify and analyze the algorithm in this paper.Experiments show that the fusion algorithm proposed in this paper has better visible light image details and infrared image target enhancement effect.The research in this paper has certain reference value in the field of monitoring and target recognition.
