In December 2020,the Olympic Council of Asia announced that e-sports has officially become a competition event for the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games and will be included in the gold medal list.In 2013,the League of Legends Professional League LPL was officially established.And grow into China's current operation of the most standardized,most professional and most commercial value of the e-sports league,with a wide audience,from the LPL division of IG teams,FPX teams and EDG teams in the S8,S9,S11(2018,2019,2021)world championships have won the championship,the League of Legends e-sports project heat to the climax,China's sports newspapers in the most influential,credible media "Sports Weekly" The LPL event was also selected as one of the three most popular sports events in China.Therefore,this study takes the LPL e-sports fan group as the research object to study the group identity of the LPL e-sports fan group.This article takes the Chinese League of Legends Professional League(hereinafter referred to as LPL)e-sports fan group as the research object,and uses literature analysis,text analysis,participatory observation and in-depth interviews to collect information from various forum platforms.And in-depth interviews with fans of different occupations and ages about the LPL fan group.Explore the formation of interest groups and how group identity is constructed.From the three dimensions of the formation and communication characteristics of LPL fan groups,the performance,composition and development of fan group identity,and the negative impact of group identity.This This article is divided into five parts.The first part is the introduction,expounding the research background and significance,and the research methods used in this paper.It also summarizes the related theories of group identity,interest groups and fan culture,and finally defines the concept of online interest groups and LPL e-sports fans.The second part is the formation of online interest groups.First,it summarizes the development of LPL events.The second is the research and analysis of the forming factors of LPL fan groups.The research finds that the forming factors include the competition-oriented operation of e-sports,the construction of interest platforms,and the individual needs of fans.The third part is the dissemination characteristics of online interest groups,first of all,it has the characteristics of symbolic communication,which is divided into text category and audio-visual picture category.The second is the communication characteristics with strong flow and weak relationship.Then there are the characteristics of decentralized communication,showing the characteristics of weakening the function of opinion leaders and fragmentation of communication.Research has found that opinion leaders in the communication of online interest groups mostly only have the function of managers.The fourth part explains the construction and development of the group identity of the online interest group.First,the group identity is composed of three parts: identity identity,behavior identity,and cultural identity.Then group members constitute the group identity of the group they belong to through three parts: social classification,social comparison and active distinction.Then,the study found that the strengthening of the group identity of e-sports fans was formed by the increase of the influence of the event and the influence of external pressure,and then analyzed the conflict of group identity from the conflict within the group and the conflict between the groups.The fifth part is the negative influence of group identification.The blurred boundaries between "self" and "id","reality" and "virtual" of group members cause problems such as poor interpersonal communication in real life.Secondly,the atmosphere of the online community is distorted,which destroys the healthy and civilized environment of online forums.In the end,this paper provides a feasible way for the healthy development of network interest groups.First of all,event managers should take responsibility and formulate more professional and comprehensive rules and regulations.Relevant departments should also supervise,standardize network rules,and purify the network environment.Secondly,it is necessary to strengthen the interweaving and integration of the individual culture of the e-sports fan group with the mainstream culture of the society,comprehensively improve the quality of the fan group,and find its own position.With the efforts of all sectors of society,we will promote the high-quality and stable development of my country's e-sports industry.
