The rapid popularization of portable mobile terminals has promoted the development of communication technology and computer network technology, which has shown the development trend of wireless, broadband, intelligence and integration, and has also promoted the market of wireless networks.Wireless network-related technologies have gradually become a major topic in the field of communication technology.Due to the convenient access method of the wireless network, its usage has increased year by year, and the deployment of network systems has become more and more intensive. With the rise of emerging applications, wireless networks are gradually becoming crowded.Fortunately, the available frequency bands for wireless networks are increasing.Currently, there are 2.4GHz and 5GHz,and it is pointed out in the next-generation IEEE 802.11 standard that the 6GHz frequency band is about to be developed and used.Under the traditional IEEE 802.11 series of standards, users choose the access point with the largest RSSI for access.Under dense network deployment, this access method is likely to cause load imbalance among access points, which affects the overall throughput of the system, reduces the efficiency of network operation and affects the service quality of users. This thesis discusses the above problems and propose related solutions. In order to solve the above problems, the research direction of this thesis is determined through the analysis of the load balancing schemes, and the related technologies are analyzed. Then,an access-type load balancing scheme based on traffic prediction and fuzzy logic is proposed.According to the characteristics of network traffic, combined with the traffic value in the past certain time period in the network,we select an appropriate prediction model to predict the traffic within a certain period of time in the future. After the prediction result is obtained, the STA uses the fuzzy logic algorithm to perform weighted analysis on the AP using parameters such as the prediction result, the current load of the AP,and the RSSI value between the AP and the STA,to obtain the weight of each AP and selects the network to be connected accordingly. At the same time, the access process and related frame structure under the existing protocol are modified and designed for this algorithm.Further,as the network also appears in various unexpected situations during the operation of the network causing load imbalance, the switching load balancing is designed in this thesis. We redesign the handover process that meets the existing requirements of WLAN for dense network scenarios and multi-band APs.The user quality of experience(Qo E)is used in the process to select the user to be handed over. Therefore, this thesis first combines the characteristics of different services to give the corresponding Qo E evaluation methods. After the user to be handed over is selected,it is necessary to switch between the frequency bands and between the APs to ensure the performance of the balance. Therefore, the process design also takes into account the switching of the two levels, and the corresponding frame structure design is made for the frame switching in the switching load balancing algorithm based on user Qo E.Finally, the simulation comparison with the traditional switching load balancing scheme verifies the conclusion that the proposed scheme performs better and more comprehensively in the aspect of load balancing.
