Research On The Professional Quality Of Public Librarians In The New Era

Our country's public librarians continue to make outstanding contributions to the steady development of public libraries with their strong professional qualities.The advent of the new era has prompted the transformation of public libraries,and the support of national policies has brought good opportunities for their smooth transformation.At the same time,the background of the information age has also caused an impact on the development of public libraries.The service level of libraries urgently needs to be improved to meet The diverse needs of readers in the new era.Under the premise of reading a lot of literature,the article decided to study the professional quality of public librarians in the new era as the subject of research.As the core figure of the library,public librarians are facing opportunities and challenges.How to improve their professional quality to meet the new standards required by the policy,meet the new needs of the post ability,fulfill the new expectations of the user group,and realize their own value It has become a problem that needs to be solved urgently.In order to explore how public librarians can improve their professional quality,this article first uses the literature research method to elaborate on the changes in the current information age,the introduction of new policies,job requirements,user needs,and librarians' own perceptions.What are the advantages and disadvantages of improving the professionalism of librarians;secondly,the questionnaire survey method is used to conduct questionnaire surveys among the librarians of public libraries at the provincial,city,and county levels in China.The content of the questionnaire is around the process of improving the professionalism of librarians Opportunities and challenges,feasible ways to improve,aim to provide methods for the smooth transformation of public libraries.Through the analysis of the questionnaire data,it is concluded that the composition of the professional literacy ability of public librarians is mainly divided into basic ability and expansion ability.Finally,based on the background of the times and the survey results,according to my country's national conditions and the problems in the actual construction of public librarians' professionalism,this article proposes that the professionalism of public librarians in the context of the new era can be based on innovative talent training models and standardization of librarians There are five perspectives to improve on-the-job training,strengthen the continuing education of librarians,improve the professional title evaluation mechanism,and build a differential incentive mechanism.The research done in this article aims to contribute to the future development of public libraries and librarians' careers,and to help public libraries successfully transform.
