As more and more companies use social media to collaborate and communicate within their organizations, enterprise social media(ESM)has become one of the important enterprise-level applications.Especially affected by the COVID-19 epidemic, more and more companies are adopting ESM for telecommuting. However, studies have shown that some companies' investment in ESM has not achieved the expected benefits, and the phenomenon that ESM is "built but not used" or "used but cannot be used to the best of its ability" still plagues many companies. In addition,ESM is different from the traditional management information system and has its own uniqueness. However, the existing research on employees' usage of ESM for innovative behaviors is insufficient.Existing research largely believes that employees' innovative behaviors are driven by their personal characteristics, environmental factors and their interactions. However, the role of social media technology in improving employee innovation behavior has not been fully studied. This research constructs and empirically tests a research model to explore the impact of using ESM in the office on employee innovation behavior from the perspective of knowledge transfer.Based on the domestic typical ESM software-Ding Talk as the representative research object, based on the survey data from 389 employees analysis found that the ESM use of explicit and implicit knowledge transfer knowledge transfer has a positive influence, and explicit knowledge transfer and the tacit knowledge transfer are to promote innovation in the process of the staff in the office. In addition, employees' digital capabilities positively moderated the relationship between ESM use and tacit knowledge transfer. This research enriches the existing research on ESM technology and employee innovation, provides guidance for corporate practice, and provides research reference for related scholars.
