As an important social mechanism and institution,the media is both the carrier of memory and the main body of constructing memory.It undertakes multiple missions of recording.The commemorative revisiting of important events,it shapes The collective memory of nations and nations.The media memory of major epidemic issues is not a recurrence of the epidemic but a re-understanding of the epidemic,aiming to preserve the important enlightenment of the epidemic with empirical and spiritual value.Disasters have caused severe damage to a nation,but at the same time forged the national spirit.The sudden COVID-19 virus poses a huge threat to human life.In the process of fighting the epidemic,the media,as the recorder of the society,how to describe and construct this disaster event,and what kind of enlightenment the media will retain in historical memory when the epidemic disappears.How to condense the national spirit through memory construction to strengthen the identity of the family and country.Sorting out the media texts during the outbreak of the COVID-19 epidemic,studying the content,path and method of the construction of the media memory of major epidemics,has theoretical value for enriching the research field of media memory of disaster events,and also provides a research foundation for the media to review the ritual revisit of the COVID-19 epidemic in the future.Based on the theory of media memory,this paper takes the practice of media memory in the COVID-19 epidemic as a research case,uses text analysis to study the multi-dimensional path of media memory construction,and analyzes the media's reorganization and expression of individual memories,historical memories,and spatial symbols in media memories of major epidemics.The path of media memory construction includes individual memory,historical memory and spatial memory.Studies have found that the formation of the vector memory of the COVID-19 epidemic is a complicated process.It has an inseparable relationship with individual memory,historical memory and space,and influences each other,ultimately shaping the vector memory of the COVID-19 epidemic.First of all,individual memory is the basis of media memory.The media interprets individual stories through body narrative and heroic narrative,and individuals also realize the transformation from individual memory to media memory in the media.Use individual "anti-epidemic" memories to express the "anti-epidemic" spirit,awaken individual memories with the linkage of life scenes,and construct anti-epidemic hero groups with civilian heroes,so as to highlight the basic role of individual memories in the construction of COVID-19 epidemic media memory.Secondly,historical memory often appears in the current media memory text as a frame of reference,and evaluates current events.In the media memory construction text of the COVID-19 epidemic,SARS,as a similar epidemic event,was awakened and reshaped in the media memory construction of the COVID-19 epidemic,serving the logical needs of the new text.Awakening is the media's choice of historical memory,and reshaping is the media's expansion of historical memory,combining history and reality to form a revisit of historical memory,thus forming a new media memory text.Finally,space is the carrier of media memory and interacts with media memory.When constructing the media memory of the COVID-19 epidemic,through the domestic focal spaces-South China Seafood Market,Baibuting Community,Jinyintan Hospital and Fangcang Hospital,the abstract symbol of the epidemic was spread as a concrete space symbol,highlighting the important role of focal space in media memory,On this basis,explore the memory controversy in different spaces.
