Research On Xie Liuyi's News Thought And The Context Of The Times

Xie Liuyi was the first dean of the Department of Journalism in Fudan University.He was an important figure in the history of journalism in the Republic of China.The purpose of this paper is to interpret the content of Xie Liuyi's news thoughts,explore the development of Xie Liuyi's news thoughts,clarify the establishment process of his ideological system and the context of The Times,and evaluate the influence and status of his news thoughts.This article follows the logic of "what--why--how",and is divided into four parts.The first part is the first chapter,clarifying the source of Xie Liuyi's news thought.The second part consists of two and three chapters,expatiating the specific content and development of Xie Liuyi's news thoughts.The third part expounds the contribution made by the academic group represented by Xie Liuyi in the history of journalism.The fourth part is the last chapter,which evaluates Xie Liuyi's news thoughts.The first chapter studies the source of news and the era background of xie,points out its news thoughts from western journalism,Japan's journalism,literary and artistic ideas and the influence of the objective situation,the Japanese literary theorist flat Lin Chu literary concept of auxiliary effect especially deep,also by liang qichao,Matsumoto jun equality of xie people news ideas.The second chapter through the analysis of the specific content of Xie Liuyi's news thought,combined with other texts,the author thinks that Xie Liuyi's news thought can form a system,the system with "literary news view" as the core,that is,around the "news","literature" and "politics" to discuss the relationship between a kind of news view.Xie Liuyi divided the research object of journalism into two parts: "pure journalism" and "practical journalism",namely "theoretical journalism" and "applied journalism".This chapter focuses on Xie Liuyi's ideas on the definition of news,elements of news,functions of news,journalists' quality,operation and management of news enterprise,and news policies.In sorting out the contents of xie liuyi's news thoughts,two new historical materials are found,the interview of xie liuyi and the view of women journalists,which involve xie liuyi's view of news policy and the view of women journalists.In the third chapter,it is pointed out that Xie Liuyi is the key point for him to become a journalism scholar when he takes the post of dean of the Department of Journalism of Fudan University,and he is complementary to the Department of Journalism of Fudan University.In this chapter,from the perspective of modernization and localization,the author divides the development of Xie Liuyi's journalistic ideology into three stages.The first stage is the gestation period of his thought(1921-1928).Xie Liuyi's cognition of newspapers as a tool was generated in the context of "affiliated press".The second stage is the formative period(1929--1936),when Xie Liuyi explored the concept of journalism professionalism in the context of journalism professionalism.The third stage was the period of ideological development(1937-1945).Xie Liuyi reinterpreted the function of news in the form of the Anti-Japanese War.With the change of the context of The Times,Xie Liuyi had a different understanding of the nature of news.The change of Xie Liuyi's thought always revolves around the discussion of the source of news.The fourth chapter points out that with term of Ren Bai Tao,Huang Tianpeng,Yuan Shu and Du Shaowen formed a small academic community,for the purpose to improve the newspaper in admitted news "learning" "market offer movement",on the basis of constructing modern journalism with Chinese characteristics,reflect their "good learning interest is newspaper,newspaper the national interest".In this process,They contributed to the localization of journalism and the development of journalism theory in modern China.This paper analyzes the relationship between the people in this academic community,the similarities of several scholars' thoughts on journalism,and the three reasons why the modern journalism with Chinese characteristics proposed by these scholars are quite different from each other: the overall reconstruction of Chinese academic system,the different schools the scholars contacted,and the different understandings of the nature of journalism.The fifth chapter evaluates Xie Liuyi's news education thought,firstly affirms the contribution Xie Liuyi's news education thought has made to the domestic news education and the development of journalism,and secondly evaluates Xie Liuyi's news thought.This paper hopes to use the development of Xie Liuyi's news thought to pry into the face of journalism in the Republic of China and contribute to the comprehensiveness of the discipline.
