Research On Factors Affecting Visibility Of Supply Chain Operation Performance Based On Blockchain Technology

The influence of blockchain technology is becoming more prevalent as the manufacturing industries across the world are becoming increasingly interconnected.Blockchain has emerged as a disruptive technology in the current business era.Due to the growing business environment,blockchain technologies are influencing vastly to various sectors,including but not limited to the automotive,food supply,transportation,manufacturing,and supply chain management.Among the innumerable range of blockchain technology applications,a study for knowledge management(KM)to optimize the spare parts supply chain in the context of the Pakistan textile industry is still nascent.Industrial manufacturing innovation is a well-studied subject with the connection between a company's success and its ability to maintain a continuous innovation process.The intense competition around the globe forces all the industries to achieve cutting-edge performance by constantly innovating their products and processes and today's marketplace;knowledge is the most important a powerful asset for sustainability and growth.The effective blockchain adoption(BCA)technology through organizational and production knowledge management has become one of the most influential tools to improve firm competitiveness and performance.Therefore,drawing on the resource-based view and technology acceptance model,this research seeks to emphasize the empirical relationships between knowledge management(KM)blockchain adoption(BCA),supply chain visibility(SCV)and firm operational performance(OP)in a developing country context.Using the convenience sampling technique,data were collected from 289 respondents(senior,middle,and junior)level staff members from textile industries from Pakistan.The author utilized the partial least square structural equation modeling(PLS-SEM)to analyze the causal relationship between the targeted variables.The empirical analyses indicated that KM significantly impacts BCA.Blockchain adoption also positively affects supply chain visibility.Besides BCA,the KM also positively impacts OP.The mediation effect analysis indicated significant partial mediating impact of BCA and SCV among the relationship of KM to operational performance.This study contributes to theory,policy,and practice from an organizational resource perspective.The study deepens our understanding and provides valuable insights to the managers of textile manufacturing firms with respect to the role of KM and BCA in achieving operational performance.It also enriches the inadequate literature on the relationship between the studied variables and highlights prospects for future research.
