With the rapid popularization of mobile Internet,people use thirdparty instant messaging applications to transfer,share and store data efficiently and conveniently.When these data which may contain privacy or confidential information are transmitted directly in the form of plaintext,the problem of privacy leakage inevitably exists.Image steganography technology provides an ideal solution to this problem.Image hiding is to protect the privacy data by hiding the privacy data into the image for transmission.In recent years,researchers have proposed many image steganography methods,such as LSB replacement and LSB-based interpolation image reversible data steganography(IIRDH),but these schemes are either of high visual quality but low embedding capacity or of high embedding capacity but low visual quality.A balanced scheme.In this paper,a new reversible bipolar pixel coding algorithm is proposed,which can well balance the embedded capacity and visual quality.In this paper,two new information metrics,perturbation information and distortion information,are defined to describe the pixel-level targets of IIRDH.Using these two metrics,the coding principles and constraints of the related IIRDH schemes are studied,and an interesting coding rule is found: the greater the decodable perturbation that a scheme can integrate,the better its performance.Inspired by this rule,we design a new reversible bipolar pixel coding(RBPC)algorithm,which combines all the coding advantages we find with the equalized neighborhood pixel interpolation(WNPI)algorithm,and can balance the visual distortion and coding disturbance well.The experimental results show that the average peak signal-to-noise ratio(PSNR)of steganographic images is 30.92 db,and the average embedding capacity is 2.66 bpp.The performance of the scheme is better than that of the related IIRDH scheme.Finally,taking RBPC as the core of security algorithm,this paper designs a secure chat middleware based on RBPC,which enables users to choose more secure transmission options in this mobile Internet era,and also makes more and more people realize the importance of information security.
