Research On Discourse Of Robotic News Writing

In recent years,artificial intelligence has strongly entered the media industry,and major media organizations at home and abroad have used this as an opportunity to compete for technological breakthroughs and content innovation in the field of news media.Among them,"robot news writing" is particularly eye-catching and is also a hot topic in the academic and industry Research topics,therefore,it is necessary to study the text content of robotic news writing.This article takes 300 news reports written by Southern Metropolis Daily's writing robot "Xiao Nan" from January 2017 to February 2020 as an example,using content analysis and discourse analysis to analyze and study the characteristics and rules of robotic news writing.First of all,the researchers classify the text content,analyze the data systematically,and use the frame theory to study the news frame in the text content.Secondly,using discourse analysis theory flexibly,research the news schema,discourse rhetoric,and work style of robotic news works from the perspective of text and context,and try to interpret the discourse features and deep ideology of robotic news writing.Finally,based on research,predict the future development trend of robotic news writing.The research found that,first,in terms of reporting topics,robotic news writing is mainly based on financial reports,sports news reports,social hot topic reports,etc.,gradually breaking through the limitations of the reporting field,involving social and livelihood news reports.In addition,the choice of the topic of robotic news writing is influenced by the positioning of the media,the tone of the report,and the subject of the report show a tendency to report positively.Second,in terms of text architecture,robotic news writing has a complete structure,and the text structure mostly uses a pyramid structure to describe news events;the source of information is more diverse,authoritative databases,professional media institutions,government announcements,Weibo netizens,etc.,the text content is streamlined,But there are multiple sources of information;the language expression is rich and diverse,the network language is widely used,and nouns,adjectives,prepositional phrases,etc.form sentences,especially the use of punctuation marks that highlight emotions,which makes the article's emotional color strong.Third,in terms of discourse analysis,robotic news writing works allreflect the five categories of the news schema structure proposed by Van Dijk,reflecting the conscious features of robotic news works;in terms of discourse rhetoric,robotic news writing uses data rhetoric flexibly And factual rhetoric reflects the article's reporting tendency and reporting perspective,and uses interactive narrative rhetoric to achieve human-computer interaction.Fourth,in terms of the style of the work,it uses colloquial expression and presents a summary style of multiple news reports.Therefore,it is difficult for robotic news writing to conduct in-depth reports.Fifth,the researchers found that robotic news writing has a certain impact on the concept of news writing,which is mainly manifested in the change of the concept of news writing from network,digital to intelligent,and the narrative idea of storyization.Finally,through content analysis and discourse analysis of news works,it is predicted that robotic news writing will show the human core,robotic reporters will help media development,technical attributes and ideological attributes will be highly integrated,and robotic news writing will explore the development trend of in-depth reporting.
