Indoor visible light positioning refers to a new positioning technology that uses Light Emitting Diode(LED)solid-state light sources to provide positioning functions while illuminating. It has the advantages of energy saving and consumption reduction, wide application, green health, and low cost.Indoor visible light location has the advantages that traditional indoor wireless location methods cannot replace. It has good development and application prospects in the field of indoor positioning, and has become a research hotspot in this field in recent years. The use of indoor visible light for positioning is easier to achieve higher positioning accuracy than other indoor positioning technologies.Especially in dense visible light communication networks, the use of multi-dimensional information provided by multiple transmitters can fully realize the effective use of visible light information resources. The layout of the light source at the transmitting end determines the presentation of multi-dimensional information,so the characteristics of the light source layout are one of the issues that cannot be ignored in the indoor visible light positioning.Previous studies have focused on improving the positioning accuracy from the positioning algorithm level,or only considered the impact of a single layout model on the positioning accuracy, and did not fully consider the relationship between different layout models and positioning accuracy.Based on the indoor visible light wireless positioning model, this paper deeply studies the influence of light source layout on positioning results and the realization of new positioning technology. The main research contents and innovations are as follows:(1)Aiming at the basic layout model and dense layout model of common light sources in indoor visible light positioning systems, the relationship between positioning accuracy and layout style, light source height, and sampling interval in different models is studied. The simulation results show that there are big differences in positioning accuracy between different layout models. In terms of the height of the light source, the average distance error of the dense layout model first decreases and then increases as the height increases, and there is a stable interval and limit average error of positioning accuracy. In order to study the distribution of positioning error, this paper divides the effective positioning area on the receiving plane, and compares and analyzes the error distribution of the layout model and the difference in different areas through the effective positioning index. In addition, the relationship between edge spacing and light source height and error distribution is analyzed, and finally a polynomial fitting model is obtained.(2)Aiming at the dense layout model, design and implement a new positioning technology that integrates LED-ID and fingerprint analysis. The design of the LED-ID refers to the positioning frame format in the Integral Space Time Coding scheme;in view of the large amount of data in the dense cellular visible light environment, the position estimation in the online phase of fingerprint analysis adopts a fast classification algorithm, and divides the area according to the light source layout and specifies the label sampling Point, simulating a binary search tree to realize fast position estimation in the online stage, which can greatly reduce the feature data comparison. This new positioning technology can be directly applied to the dense light source layout model.
