A Comparative Study On The Development Status Of Smart Services In Chinese And Foreign Libraries

With the rapid development of big data,cloud computing,artificial intelligence and other technologies,and the accelerating process of social intelligence,traditional library services have been unable to meet the needs of users for library services.Service forms with more complete functions and concepts are urgently needed to promote the transformation and upgrading of library services.In this context,the library intelligence service has been developing rapidly.Which is based on the traditional library service,relying on the traditional service concept,using intelligent technology as the means,and constantly integrating into the growth body of new technology and new idea.As one of the core components of public cultural services in modern cities,library intelligence service plays an increasingly important role in information acquisition and dissemination.In this context,this paper adopts the method of comparative study to compare and analyze the research content and practice status of library intelligence service between China and foreign countries,so as to explore the differences in the development of library intelligence service between China and foreign countries,in order to provide enlightenment and suggestions for the development of library intelligence service in China.This study uses bibliometrics and network research perspectives to examine the development status of library intelligence services at home and abroad.In terms of literature research status,this paper collects research literature on library intelligence service at home and abroad,and uses the method of bibliometrics to analyze the phenomena and laws of library intelligence service research subject,research hotspot and topic evolution path at home and abroad,and makes a comparative study.The comparative study shows that both China and foreign countries have formed a group of high-yield research institutions with regional characteristics.The cooperation degree and the number of published papers of domestic scholars on intelligence service research are higher than those of foreign countries.The research hotspots of library intelligence service at home and abroad are mainly focused on the concept of intelligence service,service mode,supporting technology,system construction and so on.Among them,China has more advantages in terms of the richness of research topics and the frontier of technology application.In the evolution path analysis,the study of intelligence service at home and abroad has derived different research directions.Among them,domestic research institutes have developed more abundant topics,while foreign libraries pay more attention to the study of "human" in the process of intelligence service.From the perspective of practical research,this paper uses the method of network research to visit and observe the websites of Chinese and foreign libraries,summarizes and sorts out the functional modules of intelligent service on the websites,and compares and analyzes the five functional elements of intelligent service,including intelligent supporting technology,space reconstruction,digital resource construction,virtual experiential service and intelligent librarian.The comparative study shows that the application of intelligent technology in the process of intelligent service at home and abroad has different emphases.The concept and form of conventional digital resource bank construction are similar,but the characteristic resource bank construction is quite different.In the creation of virtual experiential services,foreign libraries tend to build digital exhibition experiential space,while domestic libraries pay more attention to the creation of sensory space integrating VR and other technologies.In the comparison of intelligent librarians,it is found that Chinese and foreign libraries have great differences in the access mechanism of librarians and the disclosure of librarian information,and there is a great room for improvement for domestic libraries.Finally,according to the results of the comparative analysis,the author puts forward some enlightenment and suggestions on how to promote the development of library intelligence service in China.
