In "Harvard's Lesson of Nonfiction Writing-How to Tell a Story",Mark Kramer and Wendy Cowle argue that "narrative means makes the world orderly." In the process of writing in-depth reports, the reasonable use of narrative techniques and narrative strategies can help authors arrange writing materials in a reasonable and orderly manner and presenting readers with rich image of characters and wonderful and interesting storylines. The narrative reproduces the original appearance of the event through text.In-depth reporting is also a type of narrative. In order to shape the character's character more vividly, the use of narrative strategies is indispensable in the in-depth reporting of characters. The author takes this personal work "Between Vagrancy and Stability: Renhao Liang,a Korean who try to start up business in Xi'an" as a research object and analyse the narrative strategy of this article in four chapters using the method of narrative analysis. This paper uses narratology theory to study the narrative strategy of in-depth reporting of people,in an attempt to inspire the creation of in-depth reporting of people in the new media environment. The analysis draws the following conclusions:This report uses an open identity with the same narrator, uses a variety of narrative perspectives flexibly, uses backwards chronological order, speeds up narration by omitting and summarizing methods, uses the narrative frequency to shape the character's image, uses the causal structure and the binary opposition structure, and the character image is shaped by direct quotation. These narrative strategies enhances the enjoyment of the report while being objective and true.
