Topology identification is one of the most important research topics in complex networks.The topology not only determines the dynamic behavior and function of the network to a great extent,but also plays a crucial role in the network research process.However,in reality,the topology of the network is often unknown or difficult to detect.And we can only detect the dynamic evolution information of the network nodes over time.Therefore,how to infer the exact topology of network from the known information has important theoretical significance and practical application value.In recent years,the method of synchronization-based topology identification for complex networks has achieved many research results.However,classical as it is,this method still has a problem too difficult to solve,which is network inner synchronization will break the linear independence condition and leads to the failure of topology identification.This paper mainly studies the methods that can accurately identify the network topology from the perspective of blocking the network inner synchronization.The main work and innovations are summarized as follows.The improved topology identification methods based on complete synchronization and generalized synchronization are proposed for the single layer networks with multi-links and coupling time-varying delays.The auxiliary network composed of isolated chaotic nodes is constructed,and then the auxiliary network drives the original network,which realizes the de-synchronization of the network,avoids the failure of topology identification.In addition,the improved topology identification method based on generalized synchronization can not only simplify the construction of auxiliary networks,but also identify non-chaotic networks,which has certain advantages.The topology identification method based on auxiliary network is proposed for twolayer networks with coupling time-varying delays and unidirectional connections between layers.By constructing an auxiliary network composed of isolated chaotic nodes,designing topology observers in the two-layer network,the auxiliary network,the first-layer network and the second-layer network realize outer synchronization.The feature of this method is that controllers are applied to single layer network and the two layers topologies are all identified.The topology identification method based on known layer networks is proposed for two-layer networks with coupling time-varying delays and undirected connections between layers.By using the network with known topology as auxiliary network,setting the topology observers and controllers in the unknown layer,the inner synchronization and the identification of unknown topology are realized.Compared with the general topology identification methods,the proposed method does not construct the auxiliary network,thus greatly reducing the cost of topology identification.
