With the continuous development of 5G mobile communication technology,millimeter wave technology and massive MIMO technology have also been widely used.The use of these new technologies not only brings convenience to people's research,but also brings new problems to the channel simulation in the pre-research process.Nowadays,most of the communication simulation is still carried out under Matlab,and the entire calculation process is executed serially.The use of large-scale MIMO technology and the use of highdimensional channel models have greatly increased the amount of calculations in communication simulation.Serial calculations by CPU alone will seriously affect the preresearch process.In recent years,the performance of the GPU has been continuously improved,and its ability in general computing has far exceeded that of the CPU.In addition,the CUDA parallel computing architecture introduced by NVIDIA provides developers with a development platform that can take full advantage of the computing power of the GPU.Therefore,the main research content of this article is to use CUDA to parallelize the simulation process of the channel model,so as to use the GPU to accelerate the simulation of the entire system.First,this article analyzes the CUDA hardware architecture,parallelization principles,and programming methods.Then,taking the CDL-A channel model as an example,the channel modeling process is divided into three parts: antenna array model,channel coefficient generation model and signal delay model,and the model is analyzed one by one.Finally,this paper simulates the channel model in different scenarios from CPU computing and GPU computing.By comparing the output result under parallel computing with the output result under serial computing,it can be found that CUDA technology can be used to simulate the channel model,and its simulation performance is better than that under the traditional serial implementation.Achieve a performance acceleration of more than ten times.
