Although the contest of secondary school history discipline has been around for a short time,it has shown great vigor in recent years thanks to the organization of primary schools,secondary schools,colleges,universities,and institutes.The contest is aimed at selecting outstanding talents through a variety of activities such as essay writing,on-sit interview,debate,etc.,which has played a vital role in secondary school history teaching.The contest arouses students' interest,enhances their quality of thinking,and makes room for students to cultivate their own comprehensive capabilities as well as identify the "recent development area" of history learning.Meanwhile,teachers gradually explore the personalized and stratified teaching mode in the process of guidance and practice,which further enhances their teaching and scientific research ability.This article regards the contest of secondary school history discipline as an independent research object,and takes the activities of teaching practice inside and outside of school with reference to the contest of secondary school history discipline organized by Shanghai Nanyang High School,the school I work for,as an example,exploring how to balance the relationship between contests and compulsory history curricula during the period of secondary education,and summarizing several principles of effective contest organization.This article is divided into three chapters.The first chapter attempts to define the contest of secondary school history discipline,and metaphysically analyze its realistic value and educational value combined with pedagogy,aiming at the development status of the contest.The second chapter focuses on physically analyzing how to realize the effective connection between the contest of secondary school history discipline and classroom teaching in practice as well as summarizing the guiding and organizing strategies in various contests,mainly by presenting the case of guiding the third "Qingshi Cup" National High School Student History Script Contest and the case of planning and organizing the 2018 Shanghai Nanyang High School Humanities Contest.The third chapter clarifies the significant principles that need to be paid close attention to in the organization and practice of the contest of secondary school history discipline,and tables simple proposals to provide reference for future practitioners.
