Chemistry teaching based on the STSE concept aims to enrich students' basic knowledge about science,technology,society,and environment through real situations,guide students to use the learned chemical knowledge to solve practical problems in life,and help cultivate their innovative ability and practical application ability,which will improve the overall core literacy level of students.Through the investigation of the current implementation of STSE education in middle school,it is found that from the perspective of teachers and students on STSE education,they feel that STSE education activities in chemistry teaching can stimulate students' interest in learning,so they are interested in STSE education and teaching activities.It is very necessary to conduct research and analysis STSE education.From the actual implementation status,teachers mostly infiltrate STSE education knowledge in the introduction,and students mainly read the STSE knowledge in the textbooks by themselves.It can be seen that most teachers have mistaken it.The purpose of combining the learned chemistry knowledge with social development issues,scientific and technological issues,and environmental protection issues is to expand students' knowledge.Besides the heavy teaching tasks,lacking of teaching resources and lacking of professionals Guidance are the main Obstacles.Which make the implementation of STSE education in high school chemistry teaching unsatisfactory.Through the analysis of the content from new textbooks of the new teaching edition combined with the STSE education content,it is found that the compulsory high school chemistry textbooks of the new teaching edition contain rich STSE education content,including history,science,technology,society,experimental activities,information cards,chemistry,and occupations.From the perspective of content selection,the content includes environmental protection issues,chemistry social development,science and technological development,and the history of chemical development.Through the analysis of the STSE test questions in the college entrance examination,it is found that the college entrance examination questions tend to use exploration experiments,production and environmental protection,scientific and technological frontiers,drug health,etc.as background knowledge,and use a certain chemistry-related substance or knowledge point divergence as the entry point to submit questions.It can be seen that the coverage of STSE in high school chemistry is very wide,indicating that it is necessary to infiltrate STSE concepts in chemistry teaching.Based on communication theory,constructivism theory,and situational cognition theory,it is proposed that the infiltration of STSE education concepts in chemistry teaching can be achieved by organically combining the content of STSE education courses with classroom teaching,infiltrating chemistry,closely integrating with exercise training,and in extracurricular activities.Using these teaching strategies to design the "Development and Utilization of Seawater Resources","Integrated Experimental Research on the Preparation and Properties of Sulfur Dioxide",and "STSE Knowledge Contest" proved that the STSE concept is working.The two grade two classes in high school in Guang An are the experimental subjects,and the teaching design is practiced through open classes.What's more,STSE knowledge contest is conducted in the two grade three classes.The teacher's comments after each class are recorded,and students are interviewed for the infiltration of STSE education.The experience of the chemistry classes found that both teachers and students reported that the learning interest in the classes that penetrates the STSE educational p Hilosop Hy is higher,and it is more conducive to cultivating the ability to solve problems,indicating that the above teaching strategies are feasible.Through the above research,this subject believes that the chemistry teaching that penetrates the STSE concept is in line with the requirements of the new curriculum reform and can also meet the needs of students' own development.
