The application and research of model method and constructing mathematical model in teaching practice have a long history,and the application research in various subjects is very rich.The application of mathematical model in biology experiment teaching in senior high school is not only the requirement of cultivating students' scientific thinking in the new curriculum standard,but also the need of cultivating students' ability to interpretand construct mathematical model.At present,the research of mathematical model in biology teaching is relatively more and more mature,but the research on the application of mathematical model in high school biology experiment is fragmented.Therefore,this study attempts to explore the teaching value of constructing mathematical model in biology experiment teaching in senior high school.This paper mainly conduct a study from the following four aspects.Firstly,analysis and summarizes the research status about models abroad and the application status of relevant mathematical models in biology course in China,in addition to defines the relevant concepts.The second is to summarize the contents related to mathematical models in the experient part of the compulsory biology textbooks,and sorted out the principles,processes and strategies of constructing mathematical models in the experimental teaching.The third is to research the application of mathematical model in biological experiment teaching and the difficulty of implementation through the questionnaire survey.Fourthly,through practice to discuss the value of mathematical model construction.Questionnaire analysis results show that students' ability to interpret and construct mathematical models is poor.Students are interested in applied mathematical models,but more students tend to get methods and processes of analyzing and constructing models from teachers' lectures,while fewer students choose to build and analyze models independently.High school biology experiments related to model construction are rarely or even not set up,so teachers often introduces experiments and model construction to replace students' hands-on experiments and build models independently.The results of practical researcht is reflected in the learning interest,the score of model understanding and construction ability,and the academic performance.in this three aspects,experimental classes are better than that in comparative classes,and there are significant differences,It shows that constructing mathematical models in biological experiments can improve students' interest in biological learning.It can improve students' ability of understanding,constructing and applying mathematical models to some extent,thus improving students' biological performance.In addition,model construction can improve students' ability of cooperation and communication.
