"National Opera Pictorial" Research

From the late 19 th century to the 1930 s and 1940 s,Chinese media industry showed an explosive development trend.Newspapers and magazines became the most important mass media in Chinese society,and almost all social and political events were transmitted through newspapers and magazines.During this period,a large number of famous actors with excellent skills emerged.Playwrights created numerous famous operas with high popularity.At the same time,the invasion of western culture and the introduction of western drama prompted people to look at Chinese traditional opera in a new way,and to launch a debate about the new and old dramas.During this period,the preservation and improvement of the old opera became the focus of the opera field.The thesis takes the Beijing Opera Pictures(Guo Ju Hua Bao)as the research object.Conduct literature review and research from the three aspects of the article of the Beijing Opera Pictures(Guo Ju Hua Bao),the painting of the Beijing Opera Pictures(Guo Ju Hua Bao),and the value and significance of the Beijing Opera Pictures(Guo Ju Hua Bao).The first part of the thesis mainly studies the articles published in the The Beijing Opera Pictures(Guo Ju Hua Bao).Carry out research from five aspects: textual research articles,review articles,actors,opera scripts serials and game essays.The second part of the thesis mainly studies the picture material of the Beijing Opera Pictures(Guo Ju Hua Bao).For instance,the character painting,celebrity calligraphy and painting,stills,opera cultural relics photos,and other photos.Character paintings and stage photos are important parts.The third part of the thesis mainly studies the value of the Beijing Opera Pictures(Guo Ju Hua Bao).Explain the relationship between the Beijing Opera Association(Guo Ju Xue Hui)and the Beijing Opera Education Center(Guo Ju Chuan Xi Suo).Together they form an organic whole.Literature is the foundation of opera research.Therefore,the focus of this thesis is to organize information of the Beijing Opera Pictures(Guo Ju Hua Bao).Theoretical explanation is secondary.The thesis organizes a lot of information,makes tables and put them at the end of the thesis.
