Research On The Status Quo And Influencing Factors Of Clinical Nurses' Near-miss Errors

Objective:To describe the status of near miss in clinical nurses and explore the influence factors of near miss.Methods :The questionnaire investigation was conducted in 360 nurses sampled from a major hospital in Beijing from the June to July,2015.A self-designed clinical nurse near miss questionnaire was used to assess the status,and Self-rated Health Measurement Scale(SRHMS),The Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI),Chinese Nurses Stressor Scale(CNSS),Patient Safety Culture Assessment were used to measure the influence factors of near miss in clinical nurses.The clinical nurse near miss questionnaire was used to describe the frequency and percentage of near miss.The influencing factors were analyzed by Logistic regression analysis.Results : There were 360 questionnaires,347 questionnaires were recycled.The rate of recovery was 96.4%.The effective questionnaire was 340,the effective rate was 98.3%.Logistic regression analysis showed(1)The incidence of near miss was 56.4%.(2)The top three of near miss is medicine management(34.3%),treatment(21.6%),nursing(19.7%).(3)Logistic regression analysis showed: the department,age of nurses,working seniority,job category,the score of self-rated health measurement,the score of sleep quality,the score of work stress,safety level are influencing factors of near miss in clinical nurses.The age of nurses,working seniority,the score of self-rated health measurement and safety level are the protecting factors,which are higher,the less likely to happen near miss.The score of sleep quality and work stress are the dangerous factors,which are higher,the more prone to near miss.The nurses in surgical and Traditional Chinese Medicine department are likely to happen near miss than the medical department.Conclusions:(1)Near miss in clinical nurses is common.The top three of near miss are medicine management,treatment and nursing miss.(2)The influence factors of near miss in clinical nurses are department,age of nurses,working seniority,job category,the score of self-rated health measurement,the score of sleep quality,the score of work stress and safety level.
