| According to the results of the 2016 Youth Causes of Death Survey released in 2019,suicide ranked third.The suicide problem of young people is receiving more and more attention.Suicidal ideation is the main link and inevitable stage of suicidal behavior,and it is the most sensitive factor for predicting suicidal behavior.Ecological theory points out the importance of the influence of the family and school on individuals.During adolescence,peer relationship is the most important factor in the school system,and it plays an irreplaceable role in the development of adolescents.Therefore,this study explores the influence of peer relationships on adolescent suicidal ideation.As an important source of social support,parent-child relationship is one of the most important factors in the family system,and its impact on individuals is profound.Therefore,this study introduces the parent-child relationship to explore whether the companionship will influence the individual’s suicidal ideation through the parentchild relationship.In addition,the influence of interpersonal relationships on suicidal ideation will also be affected by other factors,among which self-esteem is a factor that is often paid attention to.Therefore,this study introduces self-esteem to explore the role of self-esteem in peer relationships,parent-child relationships,and suicidal ideation.In this study,adolescents from 3 middle schools in Nanjing were selected as the research objects,and 1646 adolescents were surveyed using the Adolescent Peer Relationship Scale,Parent-Child Relationship Scale,Self-esteem Scale and Suicide ideation scale.A total of 1,268 data were obtained.Attempt to explore the relationship among the four teenagers’ peer relationship,parent-child relationship,self-esteem,and suicidal ideation.The results showed that:(1)97 subjects had suicidal ideation,and the reporting rate was7.6%.And there are significant differences in the scores of peer relationship,parent-child relationship,and self-esteem between subjects with suicidal ideation and those without suicidal ideation;(2)There are significant differences between peer relationship,parent-child relationship,self-esteem,and suicidal ideation.;(3)Parent-child relationship and self-esteem play part of the mediating role between peer relationship and suicidal ideation;(4)Parent-child relationship and self-esteem play a chain-like mediating role between peer relationship and suicidal ideation and Parent-child relationship only affects suicidal ideation through the indirect effect of self-esteem.Based on this,this study concludes that parent-child relationship and self-esteem are the intermediary variables of peer relationship and suicidal ideation,respectively.Parent-child relationship has an impact on suicidal ideation through the indirect effect of self-esteem.This research has reference significance for the school mental health education of junior and senior high school adolescents. |
