Study On The Characteristics Of TCM Constitution In Allergic Rhinitis-asthma Syndrome

Purpose:To investigate and analyze the TCM Constitution of patients with allergic rhinitis asthma syndrome,and to explore the distribution law and influencing factors of TCM Constitution of patients with allergic rhinitis asthma syndrome.method:This study investigated the constitution of patients with allergic rhinitis and asthma in the outpatient department of respiratory department and otorhinolaryngology Department of Dongzhimen Hospital of Beijing University of traditional Chinese medicine.A total of 127 patients were included from November 2020 to September 2021.According to the standard of TCM constitution classification and judgment table,the selected respondents were judged by clinical questionnaire.Spss22.0 is used for statistical data analysis,the measurement data is described by mean±standard deviation,and the counting data is described by quantity and composition ratio;Rank sum test was used to compare the grade data among the nine TCM constitutions,and chi square test or Fisher exact probability method was used to count the data;Multivariate logistic regression analysis was used,and P<0.05 was considered to be statistically significant.result:1.A total of 127 cases of allergic rhinitis asthma syndrome meeting the inclusion criteria were included in this study,including 49 male patients(38.58%)and 78 female patients(61.42%).The ratio of male to female was(1:1.5);The oldest Caras patients were 72 years old and the youngest was 18 years old.The average age of the patients was 38.92±11.91 years old.Among them,patients aged 30-39 years accounted for the most(48 cases,accounting for 37.8%).2.The physical types of Caras patients in this study are sorted from high to low according to the frequency,and the results are as follows;Intrinsic quality(frequency 43,accounting for 29.45%)>phlegm dampness(frequency 22,accounting for 15.07%)>Yang deficiency(frequency 21,accounting for 14.38%)>Qi deficiency(frequency 17,accounting for 11.64%),peace(frequency 17,accounting for 11.64%)>qi depression(frequency 11,accounting for 7.53%)>Yin deficiency(frequency 7,accounting for 4.79%),damp heat(frequency 7,accounting for 4.79%)>Blood Stasis(frequency 1,accounting for 0.68%).There was significant difference between the TCM constitution type and the family history of rhinitis(or asthma)in Caras patients(P<0.05).The difference between TCM constitution type and allergy history in Caras patients was statistically significant(P<0.05),which was more correlated with intrinsic quality and Qi deficiency quality.3.Multivariate logistic regression results showed that family history was the risk factor affecting idiopathic population,and the risk of idiopathic population with family history of rhinitis(or asthma)was 4.71 times higher than that without family history.There is a correlation between allergic history and phlegm dampness in Caras patients.The risk of phlegm dampness in people with allergic history is 0.22 times higher than that in people without allergic history.Eating habits are the risk factors affecting phlegm dampness constitution.Compared with those who prefer greasy and thick diet,the probability of phlegm dampness constitution increases by 8.78 times.The gender of Caras patients is correlated with Yang deficiency.The probability of male Yang deficiency is 0.14 times lower than that of female Yang deficiency.There was a correlation between body mass index and yang deficiency quality.For every 1 point increase in body mass index,the distribution probability of Yang deficiency quality decreased by 0.43 times.Allergic history is a risk factor affecting people with Qi deficiency.The risk of people with allergic history for Qi deficiency is 4.78 times higher than those without allergic history.Conclusion:The main constitution type of 127 patients with allergic rhinitis asthma syndrome was intrinsic quality,and the rest were phlegm dampness quality,Yang deficiency quality and Qi deficiency quality.There are more women than men,and the ratio of men to women is 1:1.5.The age group of 30～39 is the most.Univariate analysis showed that there were significant differences in different constitutions with family history and allergic history of rhinitis(or asthma).Logistic regression analysis showed that family history was an independent risk factor for idiopathic population;Allergic history is an independent risk factor for Qi deficiency;Allergic history is an independent protective factor for phlegm dampness population,and greasy and thick diet is an independent risk factor for phlegm dampness population;Gender and body mass index are independent protective factors of Yang deficiency population.
