| BackgroundIn recent years, the incidence of obesity and overweight has increased significantly in the world, and the number of obese people in China has jumped to the first place in the world.Obesity is related to a variety of diseases, and body mass index(BMI=weight(kg)/height(m~2))is an objective indicator of obesity.Free urinary flow rate examination is the most commonly used noninvasive urodynamic examination for patients with lower urinary tract obstruction, and body mass index is one of the independent risk factors for lower urinary tract symptoms(LUTS).Urine flow rate data is lower urinary tract symptoms in a relatively objective measurements, therefore this article embarks from the healthy young men, ruled out factors such as gender, age and related diseases of urinary flow rate and the effect of preliminary explore the correlation of body mass index(BMI)and urinary flow rate for healthy young men urine flow rate under different type of data to provide clinical reference,According to the data of urine flow rate, clinical screening can be carried out for people with different body types suffering from occult dysuria.Early intervention and treatment can also be carried out for people with abnormal urine flow rate, and targeted and specialized prevention and treatment measures can be formulated for the diagnosis and treatment of the disease.ObjectiveTo investigate the association between body mass index and urinary flow rate in healthy young men by analyzing urine flow rate data during natural urination.MethodsA total of 439 male undergraduate students(no physical or psychological diseases,no history of urinary surgery or trauma,no recent urinary tract infection,no drugs affecting urination)from the class of 2020 in Xinxiang Medical College were selected, age 17 to 22years old.Free urine flow rate was examined by mobile home electronic urine flow rate instrument(XYS.WRM-2PN).The electronic urine flow rate instrument automatically records the maximum urine flow rate, average urine flow rate, urine flow rate at 2s,urination time, urine flow time and peak time through bluetooth device, and traces the urine flow curve.According to the method of urine flow dynamics, the patients were divided into 3 groups according to urine volume:group A,132 patients with urine volume<150ml;In group B,249 cases were 150ml≤urine volume<400ml;In group C,urine volume≥400ml,58 cases.According to the BMI classification established by The Working Group on Obesity in China, four groups were divided according to body mass index(BMI):BMI<18.5(lean groupⅠ),18.5≤BMI≤24(normal groupⅡ),24.1≤BMI≤28(super-reconstructed groupⅢ),and BMI>28(obese groupⅣ).The correlation between body mass index and maximum urine flow rate, average urine flow rate, urine flow rate at2s,urination time, urine flow time and peak time were compared in different urine volume ranges.Results1.There were no significant differences in average age,urban/rural ratio, smoking rate and alcohol consumption rate in general data analysis of different BMI values in different urine volume groups(P>0.05).2.The maximum urine flow rate increased with the increase of urine volume in healthy male adolescents.3.For people with urine volume<150ml,there was no statistical significance in urine flow indexes of people with different body types(P>0.05).4.There was no statistical significance in the comparison of different BMI values among people with urine volume above 400ml(P>0.05).5.For 150 ml or less urine output<400 ml group,2 s urine flow rate of different size people, micturition and urinary flow time difference had statistical significance(P<0.05),and between two groups to compare the results showed that 2 s urine flow rate for obese people is significantly higher than people lean body mass, micturition and urinary flow time for obesity significantly less than people lean body mass.ConclusionIn the range of normal urine volume(150ml-400ml),the maximum urine flow rate increased gradually with the increase of body mass index in healthy young people. The 2s urine flow rate increased significantly, and the urination time and urine flow time decreased significantly. |
