【Objective】To describe the current situation and influencing factors of compassion fatigue among oncology nurses, and construct a group narrative intervention plan.【Methods】A cross-sectional survey was conducted among 727 oncology nurses with the general information questionnaire,ERS,NJSI and Pro QOL to investigate the status and influencing factors of compassion fatigue in the quantitative research.A descriptive study was used to summarize the empathy experience and influencing factors through semistructured interviews of 9 oncology nurses and the content analysis method was used to extract the empathy experience and influencing factors.Combined with literature analysis, integration of quantitative and qualitative research results,a group narrative therapy intervention plan for oncology nurses was constructed.【Results】1.The score of compassion satisfaction(CS)was 30.05±8.70,and moderate to high CS was 79.6%.The score of burnout(BO)was 27.75±4.42,and moderate to high BO accounted for 89.8%.The score of secondary traumatic stress(STS)was 20.87±6.15,and moderate to high STS accounted for 34.3%.The influencing factors of CS included professional title, sleep time,self-resilience and work stressors;the influencing factors of BO included professional title,self-resilience and work stressors;the influencing factors of STS included departments and work stressors.2.Compassion fatigue experience, influencing factors and coping methods were analyzed in the qualitative research.Compassion fatigue experience included emotional experience and empathic response.Influencing factors included nurse factors, patient factors,nurse-patient emotional connection, occupational stress and support system.Coping methods included self-emotional regulation and professional psychological support.3.The intervention plan includes 5 narrative themes: "The Most Beautiful Meeting","My Story with Cancer Patients","Challenges and Gains in Cancer Care","New NursingPatient Relationship" and "Looking to the Future".Each intervention will be holded once a week in 120 minutes with 8-12 participants.Effects were evaluated before, after, and at one and six months after the intervention.【Conclusion】Oncology nurses generally suffer from moderate level of CF,and a high level of CS.It is suggested that the intervention of compassion fatigue among nurses in the oncology department should start from the work itself to control the compassion fatigue of nurses by identifing the obstacles and facilitators and apply them reasonably. This intervention plan is based on the influencing factors of compassion fatigue of oncology nurses and the adaptation process from the aspects of emotional externalization, problem deconstruction and adaptation reconstruction, combined with work events and individual characteristics to construct an intervention plan to provide evidence for oncology nurses compassion fatigue intervention in accordance with.
