| In recent years, with the continuous improvement of urbanization, motorization and industrialization, the process of population aging has accelerated, and the threat of injury to people’s quality of life has shown an upward trend, which has become a worldwide problem.Because the injury problem is complex and comprehensive,it is very important to analyze its epidemic characteristics and influencing factors and formulate effective preventive measures.Purposes:To understand the epidemiological characteristics and risk factors of injuries in Jilin Province, and provide a basis for targeted injury prevention and control. Methods:Injury data were collected in Yanji and Dehui cities as injury monitoring sites. The SPSS 24.0 software package was used to descriptively analyze the samples to understand the injury distribution characteristics and risk factors of injury severity in Jilin Province. The 2 test and Fisher’s exact test were used to compare the rates, and the multivariate Logistic regression analysis was used to analyze the influencing factors.Results:1.General information on injury cases: A total of 14,997 injury cases were collected. The sex ratio of male to female is 1.55:1;the age distribution is in the45-59 age group with the highest proportion(32.44%);the household registration is mainly in the city/county(97.65%);the education level is the highest in junior high school(48.36%);The highest occupation is agriculture, animal husbandry, fishery and water conservancy industry(28.46%)2.Characteristics of injury events: The season of injury is mainly concentrated in July to October, that is,summer and autumn;the time of injury is mainly concentrated in 8 to 10 o’clock and 19 to 21 o’clock. The main causes of injury were falling/falling(37.19%)and road traffic injury(26.87%).The locations of injuries were mainly highways/streets,homes,industries and construction sites, accounting for 39.00.%,22.58%,and 8.90%,respectively;The top three injury activities were driving, working and walking, accounting for25.35%,20.18%,and 14.66%;Among the injury intentions, unintentional injury(94.04%)accounted for the highest proportion, followed by intentional injury(4.73%)and self-harm/suicide(0.91%).3.Clinical characteristics of injuries: In the nature of injuries,contusions/bruises,sharps wounds/bites/open wounds, and fractures were the main ones, accounting for 40.27%,26.00%,and 13.77%.Lower extremity(28.88%),upper extremity(28.88%),and head(27.61%)were the high-incidence sites of injury;the injury outcome was discharged after treatment(69.33%)Mainly,followed by observation/transfer/hospitalization(28.94%);the distribution of injury outcomes was different for different genders(P<0.001).The severity of injury is mainly mild(67.24%),followed by moderate(31.67%)and severe(1.09%).4.In patients with fall/fall,gender,household registration, age, occupation, time and place of injury, activity and nature were the influencing factors for the severity of injury in patients with fall/fall.Male(OR=1.186,95%CI:1.030-1.364),floating population(OR=2.296,95%CI: 1.535-3.434),45-59 years old(OR=2.049,95%CI: 1.228-3.419),60-74 years old(OR=3.325,95%CI:1.991-5.553)75 years old and above(OR=4.433,95%CI: 2.589-7.590),learning(OR=1.955,95%CI: 1.152-3.323),road/street(OR=1.612,95%CI:1.247~2.084)and industrial building sites(OR=2.309,95%CI:1.420~3.753)were risk factors for moderate to severe injuries.Production personnel(OR=0.389,95%CI:0.210-0.723),7:00-12:00(OR=0.548,95%CI: 0.426-0.706),job(OR=0.658,95%CI:0.448~0.965)and physical activity(OR=0.495,95%CI:0.316~0.776)were the protective factors of moderate to severe injury.5.In road traffic injury patients, age, time of injury and activity are the influencing factors of injury severity.60~74 years old(OR=2.276,95%CI:1.010~5.131)was a risk factor for moderate to severe injury.Driving vehicles(OR=2.049,95%CI: 1.058-3.969)was a risk factor for moderate to severe injuries.Conclusions:1.Males,floating population, young and middle-aged people, people with low education, and production personnel in agriculture, animal husbandry, fishery, and water conservancy are high-risk groups of injuries.2.Injuries mostly occur in August and September of each year, from 8 to 10 and 19 to 21 o’clock every day;most of them occur on roads/streets,at home, and in driving, working, and walking.Falls/falls,road traffic injuries, and knife/sharp injuries are the most common causes of injuries.Unintentional harm is the primary intent to harm.3.The nature of injury was mainly contusion/bruise,sharps/bite/open wound, and fracture;upper extremity, lower extremity and head were the main injury sites;the severity was mainly mild;and hospital discharge after treatment was the main outcome.4.In patients with fall/fall,gender,household registration, age, occupation, time and place of injury, activity and nature were the influencing factors for the severity of injury in patients with fall/fall.5.Age,time and activity of injury are the influencing factors of the severity of road traffic injury... |
